They're panicking because they know how much of a turd heap the rest of their squad is. Without him they are going to be humiliated by Colombia. In fact, if he was suspended for the next qualifying campaign then I am absolutely certain they wouldn't qualify. They are awful

Seems to be getting stronger the Barca deal could be close. If they really are offering £80M or £60M plus Sanchez Liverpool should take it immediately.

I reckon he'll offend again this season in a Liverpool shirt and his value will plummet given he steps another year closer to 30.

They won't be getting anywhere near that amount mate.

The thing is, this background is exactly why we love Luis. Those instincts are what sets him apart from the rest. How many times have we seen him predict the seemingly unpredictable (Uruguays 2nd against England?) or fight his way through an avalanche of tackles, miraculously keeping the ball for us to score (v Man United setting up Kuyt). Players like that don't come from academies, they are created in the hell that is a latin favela. If we want to have a player like that then we will have to accept the occassional moment of madness.

Or as can also be said "We don't care what a player does or how bad it tarnishes our reputation, so long as win"
 
Don't know if it's true, but if FIFA ban him for less than three games he can't appeal and therefore will miss the rest of this WC. More than that and he gets the time to finish this tournament off.
