ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I've read this in a few places, and each time the line that sticks out is the last one and the whole point of this long winded drivel.

Those who want to be judgemental really should spend a moment walking in those shoes.

Basically what he appears to be saying, is that you can only decide if biting is bad, if you either grew up in a slum that fell into the sea, or have lived amongst these slums.

I'm going to go ahead and say actually I have never lived in a slum or visited one, but I reckon I can still judge his actions as abhorrent, disgraceful, horrible and violent acts that don't belong in world football.

Its cobblers as an argument, firstly the idea that only someone with direct experience can make a judgement call is a classic 'end of' debate strategy, secondly there are players from broken homes and grim poverty throughout the game who don't indulge in this behaviour.

I also suspect porkies afoot anyway.

Not sure if posted but this made me chuckle..

"I didn't see him bite anyone and, in football, I was taught that you obey what the referee says," Mujica said.
"If we're going to take decisions in football based on what TV says, then there are loads of penalties and handballs you'd have to give that weren't given, so bad luck."
Mujica said the striker should be judged solely on his football ability and questioned why he should be held up as a behavioural role model.
"We didn't choose him to be a philosopher, or a mechanic, or to have good manners," he said. "He's a great player."

This RAWK apologist sounding quote is from one Mr Mujica... the President of Uruguay lol.

Am I really reading from the countries most senior person that:

Suarez is not a mechanic so its okay if he bites people?
Other people have done handballs so its acceptable if he bites people?
If the ref doesn't see it, its acceptable if he bites people?

Hahahaha That's unbelievable.

Has nobody mentioned the possible outcome of all of this if he plays domestically?

Champions league Draw

Juventus
LIVERPOOL
Ajax
Some bulgarian team

Chellini gets to see him again.

haha, his theory also somewhat dies on it's arse, when you consider that no Brazilian player has decided to take a chunk out of an opponent.

Indeed, or any of the other 863 million people living in slums:

https://www.cordaid.org/en/news/un-habitat-number-slum-dwellers-grows-863-million/

Can't imagine if they made it to the big stage, they'd be munching their way through the champions league, blindly backed by their governments and fans, one bite they will get away with, a bit, a few dives and some dangerous behaviour maybe, but no one on earth would still have fans after the amount of things Suarez has done.. Well unless they got a move to Liverpool and scored lots of goals I guess.
Maybe its his honesty or warm personality or good looks that wins people over.

Are RAWK allowed to talk about this?? Or is it under censor as well
