Apologies if this has been posted, really brightened up my lunch hour:

Oh Lord,

"However, you go watch some street football in the favelas of latin america and you will see this and much much worse. It is a weird combination of animalistic instinct and playground football as I knew growing up in the UK. All sorts of weird hair pulling, eye poking, biting, rabbit punching, spitting etc"

How could he write that absolute crock of [Poor language removed], without a hint of shame for what is a blatant and complete lie?

It's not raining on my parade mate:

a) Liverpool sell him - just expected anyway
b ) Liverpool keep him - he's more trouble than a box of frogs and he'll drag them down again...and they'll win [Poor language removed] all.

It's all good.

In both of those scenarios they come out of it well. In number 1 they'll have around 80 million to spend on champions league quality players.

If he stays he'll knuckle down like they did last season and potentially be a decent defense away from another title challenge.

I always hold out hope for injury or suspension. Imagine if they got what happened to us in 08/09. Their best defender midfielder and striker all do their cruciates. They'd be mid table and bankrupt.

And a squad.

They have Europe to contend with now. Not the super light schedule of last year.

The press went with the narrative that Suarez was a reformed character (that was last season's big take on Suarez...nudged along by the phalanx of Kopite friendly journos who wanted Liverpool pushed over the line).

Well, they just got a massive boot in the bollocks from the sewer rat post England game and that line wont be towed this coming season, if he stays in the PL that is. The hacks will be looking under stones and through bins to get stories on Suarez now.

Thers no way Aldo will tell them a bad story.....

Of course, lad... Where Suarez grew up, football is like the thunderdome! 2 men enter, 1 man leaves!

I mean really?!? Kopites really are full of it, aren't they?

Talking to a red in work and this was their genuine response.

I asked him what it would take for him to lose support of the fans. Considering he has had 2 major bans, has asked for a transfer and is only there still because they keep giving him a pay rise, what would they do in this situation;

'march, liverpool top of the league, quarter final of the champions league, suarez bites someone again and gets a lengthy ban again meaning he doesnt play again all season. as a result he costs them both trophies and they end up empty handed again'.

His response;

' I would be annoyed. but i will support him for as long as he is a liverpool player'.

BTW this is a proper Liverpool fan, not a 5 times fan.

I've read this in a few places, and each time the line that sticks out is the last one and the whole point of this long winded drivel.

Those who want to be judgemental really should spend a moment walking in those shoes.

Basically what he appears to be saying, is that you can only decide if biting is bad, if you either grew up in a slum that fell into the sea, or have lived amongst these slums.

I'm going to go ahead and say actually I have never lived in a slum or visited one, but I reckon I can still judge his actions as abhorrent, disgraceful, horrible and violent acts that don't belong in world football.

I believe him. Tourist hot spots those favelas. Travel guides are always telling people to go and see them, especially after dark.

If Brent gets hold of £80M he'll do what Brent does: spend £60M of it on turd players. If he stays he'll never have the impact he had last season and he'll become even more unsettled here - especially with the hostility from all quarters he can expect.

Stay/Go - I'm not arsed. Bottom line is they'll win [Poor language removed] all either way. They had their window of opportunity last season and didn't go through it.

I suggested in a post yesterday that it was understandable that LFC would take some time over their response. It's now getting on for 48 hours since their most well known player was yet again involved in a controversial incident, this time in full view of global media and millions of fans. Their mantra last year was that he had changed, he fully understood how wrong he had been and was full of regret and remorse, he would change his ways. Despite the fact that he'd held the club to ransom after they'd stood by him a second time adulation, arse licking and player of the year awards followed. His response to the latest act of lunacy? "These things happen on the pitch, there's no story."

LFC?

Nothing, zilch, nada. No headlines, no acknowledgement. The world is talking about their star player but check their media watch? Not a word.

TBF, a player of theirs biting another player is not really newsworthy. That's a slow day in the life of that club.

haha, his theory also somewhat dies on it's arse, when you consider that no Brazilian player has decided to take a chunk out of an opponent.

They kinda remind me of that episode of South Park where an audience of Priests and Bishops are told that they will have to curtail their behaviours around altar boys and youngsters in general.

This is greeted by anguished howls of protest over and over.

They are screams of 'injustice'. They can't for the life of them understand what they are possibly doing 'wrong'.

What I love about being an Evertonian is that I am free to have my own opinion. OK, there are one or two here who feel that constantly re-iterating their opinion in a scowlingly immature RAWK-esque manner is the way to create a similar 'cult', but I say to HELL with any 'party line'. And I am allowed to. Cheers!
