ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I suggested in a post yesterday that it was understandable that LFC would take some time over their response. It's now getting on for 48 hours since their most well known player was yet again involved in a controversial incident, this time in full view of global media and millions of fans. Their mantra last year was that he had changed, he fully understood how wrong he had been and was full of regret and remorse, he would change his ways. Despite the fact that he'd held the club to ransom after they'd stood by him a second time adulation, arse licking and player of the year awards followed. His response to the latest act of lunacy? "These things happen on the pitch, there's no story."

LFC?

Nothing, zilch, nada. No headlines, no acknowledgement. The world is talking about their star player but check their media watch? Not a word.

Liverpool don't have to release a statement.
No you are right they don't, but I think it's surprising that there hasn't been any acknowledgement, he is still their player, their investment, their IP even, and he's involved in an extremely controversial and potentially damaging scenario that could have serious repercussions for the club.

In reality they can't until the panel announce the verdict, they got plenty of time to get their strategy ready.

Yeah, at the moment they're not really in a position where they can say anything constructive.

Best just keeping their head in the sands.

Rodgers will be raging though, haha.

Sorry to rain on the parade like, hopefully I'm wrong

I'm trying not to tempt fate

It's not raining on my parade mate:

a) Liverpool sell him - just expected anyway
b ) Liverpool keep him - he's more trouble than a box of frogs and he'll drag them down again...and they'll win [Poor language removed] all.

It's all good.

And they have a bunch more games this season. No way they finish top 2 again, with or without him.

And he may lose it again in league play. And if they sell him for loads Brendan will just spend the money on garbage anyway. It's quite great.

Can't believe those utter knobhounds in the media, and fellow professionals that voted for this vermin in their player of the year awards. No doubt various black players did....why would you ?

The press went with the narrative that Suarez was a reformed character (that was last season's big take on Suarez...nudged along by the phalanx of Kopite friendly journos who wanted Liverpool pushed over the line).

Well, they just got a massive boot in the bollocks from the sewer rat post England game and that line wont be towed this coming season, if he stays in the PL that is. The hacks will be looking under stones and through bins to get stories on Suarez now.

We need Holliday's take on this

If you're Fenway/John Henry you're seeing that as a nightmare scenario. The value of this feller is sure to plummet in that case. Who would want him a year from now knocking on 29 with four, five, six major bans?

I think if Barcelona or madrid come knocking with a decent offer they'll punt him asap.

#Pray for Holliday.
