Urugauy could appeal and Suarez still play in the next match.

That would be too beautiful. Hope it happens. Imagine the crowd reaction to him every time he comes near the ball. Imagine the reaction of Barcelona and Real Madrid to the crowd. Imagine the media reaction. Imagine the appeal court being under the increased pressure of public opinion.

I really, really hope it happens.

Magical.

He'll play a blinder if that happens

The Colombian fans will be heckling him like mad and he'll end up slotting the winner

I honestly think they'll let him play for the rest of the tournament if they can. Put the decision "under review" until the tournament ends

I don't think FIFA'S sponsors will allow him to play on. money talks

Lawrenson and Carragher turning on him now too. Chortle.

All pointing toward the exit door for Suarez.

Even the knobheads who support him (the vast majority) know he is damaged beyond repair now. If he stays, yes he'll get goals. Will he get the tally he scored last year? No chance. He'll be a marked man in the sense that no ref will want to be seen to have missed his dive/elbow/head/bite/foot left in, and will naturally err toward caution in decision making. And that's all besides the flak he'll get for a media outraged that he went for them post England game after a season when they'd tried to make peace with him. He's turned from asset to toxic for LFC.

I cant see him anywhere other than Spain next season.

On the contrary, the sponsors are getting more bang for their buck.

The World Cup is now on the front pages and leading the news broadcasts all round the world.

It is win/win for FIFA and it's sponsors.

Bad publicity?

Ain't no such thang :D

Could be wishful thinking that mate

I actually think it would be the other way, in that ref's will be desperate NOT to be seen as biased, because they know the flak they'll get with the cult, so they'll probably be even more indulgent of him

Having your brand associated with abhorrent behaviour isn't good publicity mate.

Hence the reason 2 of Suarez personal sponsors said they were to review their involvement with him yesterday.

When the RS stood by him during the racism debacle their prime sponsors forced Henry and Co to act decisively.

They cant do that though with the laws of the game they have to adhere to. The horror is where he is now because of being indulged and people have had enough full stop.
