All the Qatari scandals - deaths, corruption, intolerable heat for a match - don't seem to have fazed them much.

Right. I do see that point, but that shizz never was a top story...or even a story at all on Good Morning America...can't imagine it was much different in Australia or Japan or most of the world. Or am I a big dumb American?

Didn't Defoe get away with a bite a few years ago? Not his 3rd time in a World cup match but still surprised he wasn't sanctioned.

The referee gave a yellow card, so as the article says, the FA couldn't do any more to sanction the player. Crazy rule mind, he should have had a 10 game ban for that.

Brent must be gutted. He has to be devastated. This is the guy that he believes made him a better man and manager. He's been praising, defending and supporting this joke of a man for 2 years. Suarez has made him look an even bigger tit here.

He needs Suarez to play in his one and only tactic. No other player at the club can go out on that pitch and play in that fashion. Brent must be gutted. Losing Suarez for a length of time will expose him for the piss stain he really is.

On a side note, I guess he got to see Uruguay playing with 2 up top and playing 4-4-chew doesn't work.

It is the only biting instance that I can recall, in any sport, that wasn't treated with severe sanctions. But I don't follow many sports other than football & F1 so wouldn't know if there were other occasions that it didn't make headline news.
