ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Just as a comparison I've found a thread here when Arteta poked Pederson in the eye. Not even close to the severity of a bite (let alone a third one) but largely everyone was in agreement that we were very lucky he got a yellow card so the FA couldn't do anything and that it deserved a ban.

Why is it we can hold our hands up and admit a player's done wrong and those lot across the park can't? I'm sure they really are a different species to the rest of us.

1. He hasn't done it three times to three different people

2. Suarez has headbutted a referee

3. Racist abuse thrown in too

4. Arteta didn't roll around as if he'd been poked in the eye

Yellow carded.

No comparison.

Now the RS want to see if they can appeal the decision. They don't yet realise it's got nothing to do with the club. FIFA have banned the player not sanctioned the club, it is a penalty against HIM alone ( a bit like being sent to prison) and there will be nothing they can do about it. I do however hope that they show themselves up trying.........

Indeed, it's the faux sanctimony from opposition fans that is annoying given that most of them are basking in this crisis but painting it all with outrage.

Is my favourite so far. Exactly how ironic can irony be? How hypocritical can a lump of r/s actually get?

Faux sanctimony? Really? In all things r/s, and even moreso after this little pop tart of an event, there is nothing faux about my sanctimony regarding that shower of shoite and their deluded cultists.

They are a glorious car crash of a club with the morals of a pube stuck to a half swilled urinal block stuck in the sweaty trough of run down pub bog. You just can't take your eyes off them.

Conspiracee

They can't even take it to the court of arbitration for sport.

FIFA has jurisdiction and the punishment is within the regulations. Max 2 year or 24 matches.

Its open and shut and they'd be laughed out of court.

If anything they should worry about the FA or UEFA appealing that the ban is insufficient.

Oh someone, PLEASE make this happen.......
