ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

The LFC fans on my facebook have either condemned Suarez and demanded he be gotten rid of - or have said nothing at all.

Those who have remained quiet have done so because they are AFRAID to voice their real opinions for obvious reasons.

They are being terrorised by an odious minority who have been enabled by an odious club.

I pity the decent LFC supporters who have found themselves sucked in by this madness.

Lol from Rawk;

The bans not justified, neither was the Ajax one or the Ivanovic one. Until the rules of the game state otherwise biting comes under violent conduct and should be measured by the extent of the violence. That's not saying that Luis has anyone to blame but himself.

As for the juvenile attempt to turn Suarez into Vinny Jones, to my shame i have seen that compilation before. Most of those tackles are merely the rough and tumble of football and the others are sneaky rather then dirty. Some of them were, arguably, not even intentional ( just like the bite against Italy

). The one for Ajax was admittedly a red card.

I am sure if somebody was of a mind to, they could provide a similar compilation for half the footballers on earth. But where would the fun be in that, eh?

Imagine if Rooney done that for England in a must win world cup game. Look how Beckham was treated in 1998, yet these chip on the shoulder South American countries treat him like a victim of the Guildford Four. Uruguay as a country has shamed itself, and Maradona and Venezuelas president well, they need to start wearing nappies around the mouth the amount of sh!t that comes from over there.

To be fair, from what I'm reading, most of the RS are now just cringing at him. I think the pendulum has swung and the cult official line will follow suit. They'll rewrite history when he leaves obviously, but I have to give them an ounce of credit for at least acknowledging this has now swung into the realms of absolute ridiculousness, so much so that the absurdity of the excuse can't even be given any sort of defence.

Personally I think saying "most" of them are condemning it is being kind. If it's not defending him, it seems to be "I don't care how many rules he breaks as long as he scores another 30 goals next season". Which I understand completely, but he won't, as he's banned for a long stretch of it and surely there has to be a point where they get tired of their player and club being attacked from all sides. I'm starting to think that's how they like it.

I should thank them, reading RAWK with Glastonbury on the iPlayer in the background on a rainy afternoon has been most entertaining.
