ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

World class is a description we just drag out too easily, and I don't know how you define or measure it.

David Beckham, though, was special.

Well, that much is true.

"world class" is in the eye of the beholder.

And whilst some people might put Beckham in that category, I'd say more wouldn't

Suarez on the other hand likely fits most people's idea of a "world class" striker, much as I hate to admit it and as such will be a lot harder for the selling club to replace than Beckham was at OT.

The best bit about this whole thing is that for three years they've had their greatest player ever (Gerrard) coupled with a player they claim to be the world's best. All theyve won in that te was the csrling cup on pens to Cardiff.

Torres and Suarez between them have one Carling cup medal. No wonder Alonso, Mascherano, Arbeloa, Benayoun, Torres and now Suarez wanted to leave. And we think we're the selling club.

Not only are they going to miss his goals and assists but his presence on the opposition can't be understated. He makes Jags a quivering wreck whenever he's by him. Farewell my buck toothed friend.
Did Sanchez string 3 games together for Barca last season or has this world cup suddenly changed everyone into the best of everything?

Be interesting what is said about Suarez by Liverpool fans once he leaves.
They're already playing down his departure.

My favourite kopite comment so far today was "he was only average when we got him, we made him into a World class player, so we can do it with another striker"

But he scored a bag full of goals in Holland mate.

"yeah but that's a crap league lad, we made him into what he is today"

Ok mate. Bye.

Yes mate. Tim Howard is now the best goalie in the world. Ever.

Shame it didn't work like that with Kuyt. And, errr, Morientes, Cisse, Diouf, Borini, Aspas and err Keane? Still, if they think they can polish a turd, then more power to them :D

It wont be, they have painted themselves into exactly the same corner that they did when Mascherano (who lets not forget went on strike and refused to play for them) left.
