ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Their Summer transfer kitty was rumoured to be around about £60 million at the start of the Summer plus whatever they recoup from sales.

They also signeda new sponsorship deal last year with some airline to sponsor their training kit and other deals with the likes off Duncan Donuts and Vauxhall all of which total over £30 million a year for the next few years.. Added to that the extra tv revenue money and guaranteed CL money and the selling of Suarez probably have just over £140 million to spend..

Theyve spent about £40 million so far, so they have at least another £100 million to spend. Looks like £20 million on markovic and another £20 on Lovren still leaves them with £60 million.... Easily enough to sign a top left back and another top player, which hopefully wont be Sanchez or else they are looking very good for next season.

DEpends what you class as 'top player' but you could reasonably argue that they've yet to sign a 'top player' and are unlikely to do so. They've ransacked the team that finished 9th and a guy who scored 5 goals in the portuguese league.

Fergie never, EVER bought so many players in one season. It simply doesn't work. And if Fergie couldn't make it work than Brent has absolutely no chance.

They are only buying 2-3 players for their first 11 to begin with thoough, the rest can be slowly introduced. it wont be like Spurs where most of their new players started straight away first PL match and and looked out of sorts.

Their biggest problem was squad depth, they didnt have enough quality on the bench which they look to be fixing.

Suarez will be a huge loss but if they can sort their defence out then they wont need as many goals.

Good point

Has squad depth been improved that much, is anyone going to be looking at the bench and saying ''we've handled lallana, Can, Sturridge and Lambert but hold on they've got Aspas and Lucas!"

Don;t forget Liverpool Football Club YNWA JFT39 have just recorded 3 successive £50million losses, they will need to sell a few more players, Reina and Agger are almost certainly on their way, Gerrard needs replacing too.

The 'this is our year' rallying cry is beginning to be sounded with more volume once again. Once again the footballing world will laugh at their delusion. Their delusion is funny isn't it Aaron? Not as funny as Stevie G's slip though, bet you liked that didn't you. :)

That's an awfully positive view you've got there. Not seditious at all.

In fact, looking at all nine of your posts, you seem to have great knowledge of our delightful neighbours.

Rumblings on twitter that Suarez will have his ban reduced to one month. They might actually self-immolate if that happens.

"They" lol

When a one man team sells their one man, they invariably have problems. Not matter how much money they spend on multiple replacements.

Liverpool would be far better served spending at least £60m on one world-renowned match winning star, than 3 £20m players who probably are quite good, but won't be as talismanic as Suarez was.

As Spurs demonstrated last season.

LibpoolFC's summer transfer plan....
