ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Liverpool have always valued having that big lanky, and mostly useless, CF it would seem. I was watching highlights of their humping at the hands of Chelsea in 2005/06, and they had Peter Crouch, being lanky and useless.

Back in the. 60s they signed another one.....Tony Hateley.

A useless lump.

What does he mean by "nearly going out of business"? They had rich American owners before their current rich American owner. Were they genuinely close to administration only a couple of years ago?

That was the season they couldn't afford to give Rafael any money in the transfer window, they didn't have another £50 million to waste so they hounded the Americans out.

To be fair Howard Kendall nearly took us down yet i still rate him as the best manager ive seen us have.

Yeah, but the difference is we didn't wish him to come back (as manager). I accepted his first return, but was distraught we brought him in a third time. It was never gonna work.

Tho' I'd love him to come back as a director or such. Didn't Roberto want to involve him in some way?

Just saw this on a LFC Transfer speculation page on Facebook (Via a cousin, mother's side, would gladly disown that whole side tbh).

Seems they're pretty happy with this as their team for the start of the league.
Not worried about this team getting near top 4 at all.

Wouldn't Markovic start?

Regardless of the omission of Markovic and Lallana, Liverpool have the type of squad that'll be fought to a standtsill by desperate teams in this league, nevermind the class outifts they'll have to face.

He may have been subhuman scum but Suarez sprung them from the best laid plans of many teams to stay in contention in games with them last season. I really dont see Sterling or Sturridge rolling up their sleeves at the Burnley or Stokes of this world away from home once this season's underway and they know they can miss out on a glamour CL game with the effort.
