...and brought in Suarez, who single handedly kept gnashers in a job.

Dalglish will bide his time and plunge the knife in...deep.

I don't know why the owners didn't leave Dalglish as manager

Either he'd balls it up royally and the supporters would finally turn on him, meaning one less thorn in the owners sides

Or

He'd probably have done alright and won another cup or two, this turning down the heat on the owners

Seemed win-win to be honest

Daglish had them heading towards the Championship.

If they hadn't have beaten us at anfield, they'd have had a run of 10 games without a win.

Sacking him was the logical option

Dalglish had then as a laughing stock, the backing of Suarez with the tshirts and his attitude in interviews and press conferences was his downfall.

Rodgers is widely accepted as a buffoon but he's on message with the clubs hierarchy.

He failed in his objective - which was to gain CL football after spending £100m of the Shermans dosh.

The Mickey Mouse wasn't on their agenda, as their interest is the revenue.

He's not going to be able to get away with managing expectations for too much longer. I suspect any stock he's built up will soon fall this season when they struggle - last season will be put down to Suarez's efforts and he'll be struggling badly if they dont get CL qualification. Buttering that lot up can only buy you so much time.

Yes, the Biter has left the house but look what Rodgers has spent a huge wad of cash on. The owners will be expecting a trophy return on that IMO not just a place in the PL.

The Hicks downfall was brought on by Daglish.

Strange thing is after Daglish made a right mess of things, the fans still think he is King Kenny, how deluded can they get.

Rodgers on Lambert:

"I have no doubts about Rickie. He knows he's not going to play every week but he will play a specific role for us in certain games. I'm sure he will do that really well."

How does an England international settle for that? It's not like he's gone to Barcelona, Madrid or Bayern Munich. That's pretty poor accepting such a limited role.
