ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I doubt there's room in their dressing room for 2 ego's the size of Ballotelli and Sturridge, they both will consider themselves the main man, so Rodgers is either going to have to play them both and compromise his system or face the disruption that one of them will cause back of house, if they're relegated to the bench.

I don't know how to feel about this

Iv always liked Balotelli just like that lovable little scamp who is misunderstood

But apart from a few flashes of brilliance e.g Italy vrs Germany/Manchester Derbies. No one seems to get the best out of him.

Anyone think Rogers will? Would you guys be happy if we signed him for 16 million?

Will he be a changed man and fulfil his potential? He just doesn't seem to fit Liverpool really

Like a lad that keeps telling, begging his girl for one more chance. ' I've changed, i will change, just give me a chance to show you '.

His 5th club at the age of 24.

I think under Brendan's expert tutelage, not only will the wayward Mario flourish as a footballer, but he will improve as an individual also, that's the thing about Brendan you see, he takes flawed human beings and makes them better.

I wouldn't want to draw comparisons with Brendan and the ideal of the Nietzschean Superman, so let's just say he's a bit like Jesus.

I agree entirely with this. "B-Rod" is effectively destroying "the group". And Stevie-Me won't be able to handle a player with a bigger ego than him

I think you're right. Suarez got a lot of headlines but he was always seen as a player with less status than Gerrard and one that made Gerrard look good by getting on the end of his passes.
The sheer amount of attention Baloteli will get is going to get on Gerrard's tits...and so will seeing Balotelli waving goodbye to one of his 70 yard punts as he fails to chase it down.

TBH, if we had signed him for £16 million at any point before Lukaku signed I would probably be made up.

Still a very odd signing for them though.

LOL. Chris Bascombe towing the party line -

16 million isn't a bad price for Mario, he's a great striker when he wants to be. There's just so many other factors to consider. What happens if he actually hits a reserve with a dart? His kitbag looks very heavy today, I hope it's not fireworks. @Pat's Van is right though, if anyone can straighten him out, it's Dentures Mandarin, the dreamweaver with his Sun Tzu philosophies and mastery of the human condition who will surely hammer a David out of this lazy block of marble.

One thing for sure, if Balotelli dosent work out for Liverpool for whatever reason, they will get most of the fee back. I mean just look at Borini and Long are rated as 14 and 12 million!
