Not particularly. You don't just stop looking to sign good players because you already have some players in that position. I doubt Lambert expected to be playing loads and Sturridge will almost certainly continue to start.

Can't begrudge him featuring in the Champions League though based on his career of bottom to the top...

I think he knows he's winding down now anyway. Might as well play for your favourite club for a year or two, just so you can say you did it

Amazing that he's made it there when you think about it. I find it hard to dislike him really. I will find a away when he sinks us in The Derby, which we all know is nailed on, but until then I find it hard to truly dislike him

I don't understand that lot going for Balotelli - he's failed to impress at Milan, in many of his games for Milan he hasn't even tried and a large chunk of his goals come from penalties.

He wont be satisfied sitting on the bench. Theyve got three players that effectively all want to play the lone striker role. Suarez was good enough to go all over the park. Sturridge and Balotelli's egos wont let them, Lamberts mobility wont allow him. Amazing to see what groundbreaking formation Rodgers will no doubt come up with to play Sturridge and Balotelli. Maybe last seasons vintage 8-2.

Iv always liked Balotelli just like that lovable little scamp who is misunderstood

But apart from a few flashes of brilliance e.g Italy vrs Germany/Manchester Derbies. No one seems to get the best out of him.

In a team like ours with a lack of creative flair he'd get less goals than Lukaku, that's for sure.

For that reason I'd honestly shrug my shoulders at getting Balotelli. I'd be delighted we'd gotten a very able deputy to Lukaku in, but hand on heart no more than that.
