The british media cant help it mate, rather than just say hes a prodigious talent who could one day be world class, they have to go for the hype that he's practically doomed never to reach by comparing to messi/ronaldo etc, Barkley will get the same overhype should he push on this year too with Ballack/Zidane comparisons
 

Sterling is a handy little player like, he'll get better but I doubt he'll be on the levels of Messi and Ronaldo.

He'll certainly be better than Rooney.

Sorry, but I like him. As a player. Brave, quick, skilful, eye for a goal. Lets face it, if he was in a blue shirt we would be jizzing.

Yeah, he might explode like SWP. But from what I have seen he is very good. He was easily Englands most potent threat last night for example.

Which I know, is like saying Bristol City are the best team in the SW of England atm.

Ive joked about his hamstrings mate popping, but really thats the kind of thing that would prevent him from turning into something special but same could be said about any player with genuine acceleration - or him getting the big I AM about himself

he's good, but too many misplaced passes and poor touches, plus he's very one footed, which is fine for what he is, but talk of him being a 100m pound player is way way off the mark, he is nowhere near that level

Yeah, he still has a lot to learn, needs to know when to release the ball sometimes, also he runs in to trouble a lot.
