Everything about them is so cheesy. The song they play before every game, the flags, the mock scouse sentimentality when half the stadium aren't even scousers...

They're like an ageing rock band, desperately trying to stay relevant and keep up with the new wave. Yeah they may occasionally show flashes of their past but that's it. I view Liverpool and their fans in the same way as the cool kid in school who never moved on. All he talks about is the past, he's obsessed with how he used to be "It" and in his head he still is. Everybody else however just laughs at him. History is important and there's nothing wrong with looking back fondly but they feel that they're entitled to success because of it. All the 'back were we belong' brigade can suck a bag of dicks.

Best RS analogy I've heard was someone on here said last season was like watching the school bully get in your face more and more until they got over-excited and shat their keks in front of the whole school.

I still have a little snigger to myself when i think back to city talk towards the end of last season.
There used to be a show at 5pm (when i was driving home) that was suposed to discuss both clubs. Anyway they would do everton for About 10-15 minutes then the kopite presenter (after patting us on the head) would say “now lets get on to the champions elect“ in his most arrogant tone.

The rest as they say is history.

Well it was right back at him and best of all right back in their cocky faces....the t shirts ...the crowing...the hysterical welcoming party for the team bus. The rest was history...even fate has a delicious ascerbic wit. You would think by now theyd learn their lesson...but that's been said many times with them. Their total lack of self analysis means they never self examine nor experience the embarrassment of rational people. Theres plenty like that two bit presenter...cause and effect, they all see their arses in the end.
