He'll be in the frame when Gnashers is finally put out of his misery. If he doesn't get the job straight away he'll be named as an assistant. He's biding his time, Gerrard. I dont think he has any intention of walking away from Liverpool. As said, I'd guess the contract he's been offered needs to have a coaching role attached to it for Gerrard to accept it. Rodgers has said it's not down to cash.
