ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Just about nails it.
I love the way when they win he's right in front of the camera's informing them (unsolicited by any question, btw) how he was able to set up his team to get the result. Poor result: doesn't want to know...he was just proud of the 'bravery' of his players and their 'technical ability'.

The feller's going to end up being a bigger basket case than Dalglish. He's defo a Walter Mitty type of character.
Case in point....

[At] the interval, Rodgers knew he had to switch things in order to instigate a fresh approach and keep the Reds' cup quest alive. "They had obviously set up to defend against our midfield box and I felt that we needed to take one out of there and then play with three [in midfield]," Rodgers told Liverpoolfc.com from the tunnel following the final whistle. "We moved Joe Allen to a controlling role, played with two advanced players and then that gave us the freedom to put another striker in up at the top. Daniel moves around the line and in behind it. So I felt we needed a more static central striker to be there because we had a lot of crosses into the box. I thought Mario came on and did really well." Balotelli entered the clash in place of Lazar Markovic and the space Rodgers references above soon started to open up for Sturridge, who drifted wide of the goal in order to receive Jordan Henderson's pass and level the scores.

Well done Brendan. Your'e a genius, quite obviously. That's why you've won all those cups.

Sounds right. He is a decent forward, but that's all he is. I think he has a fraction of the talent Wellbeck possesses, for example. He's pretty much a one trick pony and his injury record means he's a liability for any club looking to fight seriously on 4 fronts per season.

He plays for Liverpool though, and therefore *should represent his country*...which is a fair enough logic as far as I'm concerned - the more of their players playing internationals and opening themselves up for burnout and injury the better.

welbeck is gash and sturridge is considerably better than him tbh. play sturridge for half a season and he'll get you more goals than welbeck, thats what past seasons have shown and what this one will too. Not sure why you rate him so highly, essentially he's arsenal's naismith

Yeah. Wellbeck is gash.

*sigh*

Neville was the only one brave enough to call it at the time. If we'd had a top striker ( or played Rooney) we would have got out our world cup group. Sturridge had chances in both games but he's not top draw. He'll punish the fodder when played in one on one but against the best he's found wanting.

He scored 3 goals against Everton last season, so are you fodder??

I don't honestly think in the history of the game in this country there has been a club in general that has ever enjoyed as much good fortune,Blackburn?at home?ffs!!!

United's name on the cup and the Kopites know it.

Van Gaal knows how to beat them...and he knows how to win big games and cups.

Lolling at that Kopite above squealing like a stuck pig.

The third FA cup final defeat to United's hurtling down the track toward him.

Chooo Choooo!!!

Ha Ha Ha.
