Seen Rodgers latest comments on Balotelli? Unbelievable. Despite being woeful Mario has effectively saved Rodgers job. A crucial goal against Ludogorets without which the most hilarious champions league campaign would have been over after one game. A goal off the bench to avoid exiting the league cup at home to Swansea. The winner against Tottenham to keep even faint hopes of fourth alive. The winner against Besiktas to give them a chance in Turkey. Yet all Rodgers wants to do is throw him under the bus and marginalise him out the team (until of course he's cocked up another game and turns to Mario ahead of his buys Lambert and Borini). Classic Rodgers, awful man manager who is happy to put the boot in but won't give any recognition to the player rescuing his scatter gun season. As i've said before a roulette manager, will just spin the wheel hoping it turns out alright even if it means throwing on a player you despise, then after he saves the game for you you throw him under the bus. Class and dignity FC. No top player will touch Rodgers. Suarez got out as quick as he could and Sterling looks to be doing similar. Its only me me Stevie Me who loves Brendan's weak will.

Last season was like the repulsive loud-mouthed kid at school bragging about what he's getting for Christmas, rubbing his groin in your face and sticking two fingers up and bellowing insults. For the coup de gras he moons you, only to realise he has soiled himself.
They can 'shrug off' the humiliation, but they feel it deeply and (like Heysel) should NEVER be allowed to forget it.
The media cannot control THAT.
Remember the virtual civil war on here when those of us who wanted us to lose to City were given a right old rollocking by younger lids who had never witnessed them at their insufferable worst?

Aye Dave it is staggering the money they have splashed out and what have they got to show for it?
My wish for the season is for them to finish outside the CL places and outside the Euro places, knocked out of Euro cup, knocked out of FA Cup so they end up with buggar all. Am I wishing for too much?

I think you're 100% spot on with the 'younger lids' observation. We were used to the scum winning the league. We were definitely used to them qualifying for the CL. Yet here we are in 2015 and some of our own are panicking that they may win a cup whilst languishing in 7th after the one season when the starts aligned and they could have been back at the summit yet they still blew it.
They will win the odd cup. Spending so much money means that's going to happen. But always remember where they are now and were they used to be.

oh my god, i just pissed my pants.
any bets that that was made as part of their championship winning parade and thus they were left with no material after they'd bottled it. the last thing i would say about our season was "happy" if we did what they did. i mean come on, i'd be almost suicidal, best chance in a generation, it was obvious it would be a while since they would get a chance like that again.
also, all those dancing girls look well under-age and probably shouldn't be videod to dance in that manner .... not that i wouldn't smash them
