ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Pretty sure had that been Everton today, we'd have had 3 penos against us and had our keeper sent off......but yeah, fair play to Rodgers...

This, you can have all the good luck you want but when you're hacking players down clean through on goal and getting away with it you've got a pretty good platform to win the game. We'd have been down to 8 men if we'd put in the same performance.

And as usual,at the risk of sounding like a "bitter"barring the beautiful end of last season, they are getting the "rub of the green"I've never known a team get so much of it,either big game changing decisions or the opposition making calamitous errors that they profit from(n)

i wasn't going to watch it but it came on my everton stream whilst i was writing a post here. i turned off after 20 secs becausse i knew what would happen. not saying it's a pen, but every decision like that goes for them, seem them get countless pens like that when in trouble. no surprise to hear they got dominated and got away with another 2 pens and reds etc.

you don't mind your team winning the odd game with a bit of luck, but it kind of takes away any pride in your team if anything they win relies purely on luck. it's not bitter, i mean it's like a snooker player winning a few matches when virtually every shot he takes bounces around the table and falls into a pocket.

in all the time I've known them I've never seen any one team have such luck

the michael thomas goal and last season's slip, although glorious, don't come anywhere near to even beginning to weigh up the scales for the good fortune that's been bestowed upon them c u n ts

That was an excellent win for them last yesterday. They look in great form currently.

However the two points that can be legitimately made are:
1) Why didn't they start the season so well, having spent all that money.

2) (and this is linked) Rodgers is a born loser.

Those people just assuming they will get into a cup final and get 4th need to not get so caught up in the emotion. This guy is not a winner like Benitez, who knew how to get over the line, he is a born loser.

They have a tricky run of fixtures coming up. I am still not backing them not to mess some of them up. Regarding the Europa league, they have no chance of going much beyond the 1/4 finals in that. At no point this season have they shown any prowess in beating what are fairly ordinary sides in Europe. Unlike us, they have no real ability to play in Europe, and rely too much on a blood and thunder counter attacking game.

At the moment they have some decent players flying. Sides will cotton onto them though, particularly at Anfield and sit off them.

they only boo because they used to love them and it hurt when he (lallana) engineered a move a way, its a compliment if anything because he was a good player for them

Says everything about the media agenda that the Ref from the Chelsea game is all over the media for costing Chelsea....and the media have totally ignored how Southampton were screwed yesterday against Liverpool....Liverpool were gifted that game yesterday, which will have huge significance of who finishes 4th....

Kopites beginning to panic over losing Sterling. PMSL at these, the same people who are 'Against Modern Football' and behind the 'twenty is plenty' campaign also saying it'd be best if LFC handed the no mark bellend £130,000 pw to keep him.

In any case, they need to understand they're a selling club. Recent history hammers that home.

Bayern or Barca or Madrid want him, so hand him over.

Not just a Sterling time bomb - ironically he's the one with the longest to run.

In the summer they have Toure, Gerrard, Johnson, Flanagan and Manquillo all able to leave on a free. Other than that they have Skrtl, Jones, Enrique, Henderson and Lambert with just one more year.

Then there's the fact that the likes of Borini, Allen and Sahko are on long term deals with no likely buyers.

They know that if the buckle to Sterling's demands they will have to enhance everybody else's contract and they simply haven't got the funds to do that. Even with the new deal.

They've been a selling club for well over a decade, I dont know why they don't just accept it.

Ha Ha. Great stuff.

Realistically, they cant break out of their pen until FSG go. They'll need City type funding to do it.
