ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

On the one hand yes, but on the other when the club you are at pay Glen Johnson 120 a week you'd probably wonder.

As you say, glad we are just bystanders to all this and that Barkley signed his deal without involving the press at all. Think this is the third time Sterling's agent has brought up the contract situation around a big Liverpool game.

But it just gets messy though if players are looking at each other going "well he's on 120k and I'm better so I should be on more". He's just a kid isn't he LL so maybe instead if worrying about how quick his next million quid is going to take to make, he knuckles down and plays football and remembers what a lucky little beaut he is to call himself a professional footballer. Though Glen Johnson on 120k a week ffs lol

I would have signed for less last year...

I am quite a mild mannered chap.

But that bloke makes me hate him. Utterly daft, I know, but there is something that makes me totally detest him. And it isnt all to do with him playing for that lot. Some, obviously, but the posturing, the faux hardman, the copying of Ronaldo at freekicks, the Gerrard impersonation.

Ugh.

I'm the opposite. I think the blokes fantastic. If anyone sums up how mediocre that football club has become it's good old Hendo. I wonder when their fans are going to turn round and say 'hang on, this lad can't take over from Stevie G la, he's actually not very good at football'. Until then I'll enjoy his dynamic performances alongside the Welsh Xavi. Who I also think is fantastic due to similar reasons.

I think that's the reality of their lives mate, as in its pure fantasy. You mentioned a couple of days ago about the charity match and what did they do after that match? Yep, go out for a lavish party no expense spared. It was an organised piss up of the rich basically taking the piss. I used to live not far from the ground and they've literally left that place to ruin. I've spoken to Patrick ( who owns Epsteins on Anfield Road ), he's a character but you can hear the anger in his voice about how they stripped the life out of the surrounding area. Then you have these players of theirs openly talking about "no I wouldn't sign a 100k contract if it was put in front of me". That just doesn't sit right with me that and if that was an Everton player saying shyt like that I can guarantee they wouldn't be an Everton player within 24 hours of that comment. Of course Everton players are on ridiculous wages as well ( I can't get my head around how anyone can earn over 5k a week for being good at togger lol ), but it's important they don't rub people's noses in it and you keep your head down and try and put in a shift on the pitch and we don't question their wages. We are all cut from a different cloth than them, they are all rats being led a merry dance by Peter Pan aka Liverpool football club, established cult since (insert preferred year here)
Spot on mate, agree with every word.

Patrick: is he that Irish feller who lives round there? He's been fighting the good fight for years I think.

Poor buggers who live around there. Treating like sh*te.

Yes mate he's the one. It's an absolute disgrace how they've left it to ruin as well, they've done well to keep it under the carpet for so long though that article you posted from 2013 absolutely nails it. Where they are building that stand now, looked like a flaming war zone. I walked through there about 2 years ago and took some pictures and you would think I was visiting a war torn country it looked that bad. 20 tinned up houses, one house still vacated, then another 10 tinned up and so on.

This Raheem Sterling nonsense was on the BBC1 10 o'clock news tonight. Why, it is not news, it is not of national interest?

Horrible bastardz - always have been, always will be.

For a club that's overseen so much misery they have a terrible knack of getting good PR.

The big winner out of all of this is Jordan Ibe and his agents.

They must be pissing themselves just kicking back while watching Sterling and his fella do all the ground work, taking note on either how to get a big move or learning how to print the euro millions winning ticket without getting any of the flak.
