Funny how no other kopite managers have moaned about the privacy before.
It's either 1) Brenda is looking for excuses or 2) someone in his staff or team is leaking team and tactic info. My guess is Steeeevie.

Spain international star Torres swapped Merseyside outfit Liverpool for London giants Chelsea in January 2011.

It was a controversial move and did not go down well with many of the Reds fans, but the 31-year-old has now claimed that former England international midfielder Gerrard gave him his backing.

“There is one player that influenced me above anyone else and that is Gerrard,” the AC Milan-owned star told The Sun.

“He changed my career, my ambition, the way of raising my targets, wanting to win, he changed everything.

“Even when I was leaving Liverpool he told me ‘go, think about yourself. Do what’s best for you because you’ve seen how people are leaving and it’s time. You have nothing to prove’.”

Torres struggled during his time at Chelsea, but he is one of the best strikers to have played for Liverpool.

It was at Anfield that the Spaniard developed into a world-class player, but one can understand why he moved to Chelsea.

Chelsea were on the up at the time, and leaving the Reds for the Blues was a step-up in his career.

It seems that Gerrard realised that, and also the fact that Torres was ambitious and wanted to win big things.

Hahahaha. Good old Stevie 'one club' me. Crying that he never made the move to the 'big club' Chelsea.

£100 000 per week for Mr Mediocrity.

'Playing Jordan Henderson as a wing back instead of in his normal central midfield position was an idea that went spectacularly wrong for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

The England star, who has taken over the captain’s armband in the absence of Steven Gerrard, gave the ball away 23 times in 90 minutes as he struggled to handle the role at Arsenal'.

LFC get approval for their 15 foot high security screen to keep 'prying eyes' out.

The transition to a Waco style cult continues apace.

I expect a last stand being made here in the summer by Branch Brendivian forces protecting their messiah from eviction by 'dem yanks'.

Look lads you got it all wrong, it's not to keep prying eyes out, it to aid keeping the nutters in.....

Yeah but he puffs his chest out and looks dead hard. And he takes all the corners

Couldnt of put it better myself. Their badge tattoo's often resemble the 'daddys princess' tattoo some weird women have on their lower back. It cant half spoil the view and look a little creepy......

Yes the analogy has only come to me very recently. They have all the entitlement of a spoilt, neurotic, hormonal, teenage girl. The last thing you do with such a princess is tell them they are not special, or basically disagree with them in any way. The Kopites are the same. They have this very entrenched world view that everyone exists to make them happy. They also have a delusional self image of themselves that they are more special, better than everyone else. The truth is they are a no mark mid table team who have finished outside of the top 5 for 5 of the last 6 seasons and not won a trophy of note in about 7 years. The thought they measure themselves with the Real Madrids of this world is laughable.

I just don't see any billionaires choosing a premier league club to invest it, where there are at least four other moneyed teams to compete with. If I had billions and I wanted to make money buying a football team, I'd buy a team in the Dutch or Portuguese league where I could get a free pass to the CL every year and dominate the division with a bit of money spent. Every other league bar La Liga is a more attractive place to invest than England.

I agree with this 100%. I am not saying it's impossible to get a billionaire owner. But I think they are becoming increasingly rare. If you are a billionaire owner you are already competing against the richest club in the world and two others in the premier league. You also have to get past Arsenal who are one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe. It is not a particularly attractive option.

The Dutch or indeed the German league would be a wise investment. But for most of them it is about prestige. I really think the MLS will continue to grow and may well attract significant revenue and a sphere of influence in America which will attract lots of the potential investors. I also think in the lead up to the Qatari world cup there will be a big shift. There is always a big emphasis on building domestic competitions and leagues in country's where a world cup has been. I see a lot of money being pumped in and a lot of connections being made to begin to attract older players to the Middle East. (A Similar process may occur with Russia).

Not for 1 minute am I saying it's impossible for Liverpool to get a multi-billionaire buyer. But I think they are a decade late for it and with every passing year it gets more unlikely. With FFP it also prevents them buying the league in the ways they might have once before.
