What an absolutely catastrophic failure of a season this has been for Brendan Rodgers.

He gets given £120m to spend for the loss of just one player, off the back of a second place finish and oversees a fall in league position of at least 3 places, no trophies, an absolute embarrassment of a CL campaign (that always seems to be forgotten, but was a really massive failure on his part), an immediate exit from the Europa League to Besiktas and an FA cup campaign where they limped past championship sides on replays up until the semis where they were dispatched with ease by a team currently fighting for their lives at the bottom of the league.

That is an absolutely shocking performance and proves every doubter who claimed that Suarez and not Rodgers or Gerrard etc was the only reason they were even in the top 4 last season, never mind challenging for the title, 100% correct.

I really hope they get their act together in the last few games and persuade the yanks to give him another season as I'd have had him out the door before now and suspect they'll be pretty concerned.
