My favourite Gerrard derby memory was this.

Liverpools-Steven-Gerrard-008.jpg

after all those years of playing, all the plaudits of being a one team man,of being Mr Liverp**l,after the attenion seeking "quick the camera is on me his does not slip now" speech, how wonderfully sweet that it was SG8s slip that cost him the medal he so craves and is the one thing he will truely be remembered for cya Slippy you bullying boxheaded bellend

Don't have a go at me my good fellow

I'm not bottling it out on the pitch every time we play them FFS

Steven Gerrard turns it on for a derby. As manager of Liverpool, he'd do the same

Yeah I highly doubt that's going to happen. Nothing about him says he'll be a good manager. With LFC, with anybody to be honest.

Not to mention, what a player has done on the pitch, doesn't mean it will equal to success on the touchline. That's already been proven.

Grow a pair FFS, Mikey. Your not being logical in this.

This has been Gerrards game for some time now. I said earlier on the thread never underestimate 2 things about Gerrard. 1 is he's a snide, and 2) he's a fraud.

He's a fraud because he portrays himself as something he's not. Caring, gracious, thoughtful, kind. A snide because he's made a career out of being a decent footballer, by running down and undermining just about every player he's played alongside. Whether it was Alonso, Mascherano for Liverpool (who carried him) or Lampard/Scholes for England who got slagged off because he was unable to play alongside them. We are talking about 4 of the best central midfielders in world football their, all of them carried Gerrard to their own detriment, while he got all the plaudits and they got slagged off. Liverpool and England have underachieved because of him.

He has some very influential friends in the media. Rodgers couldn't wait to get rid of him this season. he flat out refused to take him back on loan which says it all. He can't wait to have him out of the club.

Gerrards plan this season, when he realised Rodgers was going to let him go was firstly to bully Rodgers into changing his mind, then failing that try to get him sacked. Rodgers hasn't got much brains, but he's clever enough to know if you can get rid of Gerrard do it, if he keeps him there he'll be out of a job very quickly.

The way Gerrard has leaked information about his contract whenever the team lost, or would shake his head for attention when he knew the camera was on him while he looked at Rodgers were the actions of a fraud playing to the galleries. He knows now he is a liability to play for Liverpool, or any top flight team. But pretty soon he is going to want to manage them. Watch out Rodgers, those knives are going to start turning soon.

This is as spot on as one could get when writing about the guy, I remember the time when he did that public posturing when Benitez took Torres off and Gerrard made sure that everybody knew that he was not very happy about it whatsoever.
