ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

All I will say is this, if Steven Gerrard ever becomes Liverpool manager, I just know he'll usually get one over on us every Derby, just like when he was a player

Hes a mixed bag as far as Im concerned regarding derbies. Seen him rattle a few in but also seen him sent off/taken off and also defeated. I have my doubts about him being a manager as hes too prone to having a titty lip on and somewhat immature when things don't go perfectly to be a proper man-manager.

16th of May shall always be St Stevie Me Day. Kopite/BBC proclamation is imminent.

Literally their level of delusion is at such a level - they will seriously not understand why everyone isn't in worship of St. Stevie G

Rather than think he's an utter blert. The thought is alien to them.

Mate, I can tell you, most folk I know down here saw through the codswallop ages ago. Not just the usual suspects, but supporters of Palace, Newcastle, and even Weston Super Mare (ffs) said the same to me this afternoon.

I get that it is a "story", which journos need, and with the end of season being a bit rubbish, I guess it is sort of expected. Like, there is literally nothing else of interest other than one relegation place left.

Just thank the lord he will be having a quiet birthday on Cup Final day. Can you imagine that!

'Get Slippy to Wembley'

LOL!

I'm more convinced than ever that every news and sports editor across the entire BBC, both TV and radio, is a RS fan. Why on earth on a Thursday evening is this national news?

Totally agree, I was disgusted to see the BBC 6 o'clock news run him as some kind of news story, it is sycophancy beyond belief and if the new Tory government do decide to scrap the license fee, it'll serve the RS brown-nosing BBC right.

Pity the Silver Blades Ice Rink by Sheil Road/Prescot Road was knocked down....would've been the perfect spot for it.

Don't hold your breath, SB are seriously considering building a new rink somewhere in Liverpool. The one they've opened in Widnes is doing well and so Liverpool is their next likely location.
