ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

One trophy in nine years at Liverpool. It's time that they stopped thinking they're in the same class as Chelsea and United. They are no more an attractive proposition for players than Spurs are.
I don't blame Sterling one bit for leaving, he knows full well they aint winning sh't with Brenda incharge paying too much for average players.

B-Rod can't help himself can he?He's now bigging up Ibe as the next real big talent, the next player through the conveyor belt of
academy starlets who came via poaching from another team, long may this sh1tstain remain in charge

Its seem this poaching is now working for them, we seem to be getting the best local kids lately

He's got to keep the perceived value of the playing assets up or else the investors will wonder where all this money they've been pumping in has gone.

My point is that the common consensus seems to be that RS fans shouldn't be feeling aggrieved that sterling wants a move to a bigger club, and that their fans should just accept their place in the world and let him move on.

Well if that was one of our young players, then I wouldn't be happy about them moving on so early.

Maybe that's right, maybe it's wrong. But I just remember how sick I was after Jeffers, Rooney, Lescott and even that bloke in your avatar.

But don't get any of that confused with my delight at the situation going on over there.

I feel you're missing the point slightly to be fair.

It's how their club has handled it, they've basically hung the player out to dry before he's even left, and the fans are so deluded they've took the bait and boo'd him while picking up his Player of the Year award, while calling him for all sorts on social media etc. I'm just waiting for the shirt burning video and then it'll be complete.

They have previous for this, burning shirts of Gerrard, Torres, Suarez when they wanted to leave, sht Gerrard didn't even leave and they burned his shirt and threatened him and his family!

We gave Jeffers, Rooney and Lescott sht but only after they left. Jeffers was all about money but it's since come out it wasn't him who wanted to go but certain members of his family pushing him.
Rooney got sht cos of his once a blue always a blue tshirt, and Lescott cos of the Arsenal performance and refusing to play. Personally I didn't blame Rooney or Lescott for leaving, both more than doubled their money and picked up winners medals for doing so. But I dont recall any of this for any of those players while they were still Everton players.

Could not agree more.

And it's most definitely not a bad thing. Would even say it's the highlight of the season for me. But that also says it all about our season lol

I don't think theres any need for introspection and self analysis by ourselves of why us Evertonians are enjoying this mal-administered club over the park from us lurching from one very public fiasco to another. "Highlight" of our season though.....I don't think so. Its not about us is it. We know weve had a poor season. Theres also no comparison between the reactions of the clubs supporters over players wanting to leave/being sold or whatever....so no need to defend the RS uproar over Sterling on the premise of we'd be the same....we wouldn't - because we arent. And we have piranha clubs constantly circling our young players....they've got taste. Dont forget, as it says, we do "know the difference" and, drama queens apart, see the bigger picture usually. Everything always has to be a big deal over there...a permanent carousel of hoo-ha over one thing and another. The dopey kopites have fallen for their clubs smoke and mirrors over Sterling, making him out to be a financial parasite etc etc yawn. Theyd would do well to be more concerned about that bigger picture, when Sterling does leave...... and what their idiot of a manager will do when, once again, like a sailor on shore leave with a fat wallet, he pi*ses the money he gets straight up the wall....again.
