ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Surely it was Cantona's versus them? Not saying it to be bitter, but that strike, through a crowded box, was the perfect finish by a master with more talent in his little toe than Gerrard's entire body.

It pains me to remember it, and I'm not gonna post a link, as I'm sure not too many will want to watch it, but Whiteside's goal against us in '85 was a far superior goal to Gerrard's.

A very good article and fills me with shame about the lack of feeling from Liverpool FC and their fans. There is no question their violence was unprovoked. On the other hand the Daily Mirror attacks Everton fans for a minor disturbance in London citing all kinds of untruths. That lot over on RAWK jump and down over that article and blithely forget their role in the Heysel deaths but in pursuit of justice leave no stone unturned regarding Hillsborough. Which is very good and those deaths saddened me but they really are hypocrites the so called fans of Liverpool FC.

Sterling to Madrid is probably the funniest thing ive seen, hes utterly bang average.

just paper rumours i imagine. remember suarez was suppose to be signing for real for about 7 windows. i don't think they were ever interested.

the only way real would be interested in sterling is because they've only read the hype in the papers or benitez has spent too long doing exactly that, totally oblivious to how RS players are consistantly overhyped.

Disgusting.....
"I was a researcher on Granada TV’s World in Action at the time, but Patrick and I wrote a piece for this newspaper – my first. In it, we quoted two Liverpool fans, one back at our hotel who, learning of the dead, said: “Good. They deserved it.” And another at the airport: “I’ve been watching Liverpool for 25 years, now I’m through. I saw people kicking the bodies. There were bodies piled 10 deep and they were booting them. If that’s football, I’m through with it.” I think we felt the same as we trudged home."

Yet an apologist like Hooton then does a damage limitation interview - dragging Evertonians into it and trying to say we were thick enough to blame Heysel for our skirt with relegation.... yet marginalising our exile from Europe when we were riding high. On yer bike. Then again, to most of the RS, hes probably viewed as the Brains Trust.
