Sterling 'valued' at 60 million ; Rom 32 million, Hibbert doesn't quite make the list :

That 60m is the kopite-infested media doing their black magic. They're so bluddy influential that they really will influence some dumbshyte club to overspend on one of their players. These media tricks is one way how they maintain such influence in the transfer market.

Not just Sky, not just BBC, but even respected papers like The Guardian are similarly plagued by RS-journos. Mourinho caused a stir when he mentioned it last year, he should do so again.

Or they would if they had the right number of fingers to hold one.

To semi-quote the great, great Bill Hicks. 'In some parts of the world, people are calling for REVOLUTION. On the kop, they're calling for evolution - "we want our thumbs, we want our thumbs!" '

"Gerrard has warned the 20-year-old he risks becoming a bit-part player at another club if he leaves Liverpool. ‘For the player’s sake and for all of us fans out there he needs to make the decision quickly,’ Gerrrard said. ‘I hope he stays, I think for his development as a player he has a fantastic manager to look after him and a great set of team-mates. I think it's important he plays week-in-week-out and keeps trying to learn and strive to become a world class player.

‘The frustrating thing for me would be if he went to a club and became a squad player and just another number and he didn't have that chance to progress. That's the risk. What will be frustrating for me is if he does that".

How anyone can still peddle this bull is beyond comprehension. After last season world cup, the RS dominated media were hailing that 'Sterling had a fantastic world cup, and was one of the very few that came out with any credit". Fast forward a year, and a further year under the 'football development' of Rodgers, Sterling was absolutely abysmal against Ireland on Sunday. If he stays for another year and further 'develops' under Rodgers he will be playing in the Conference and not in the Euros.
