Brilliant by City get a low offer in early, get the player on the hook, let Norway miss out on a target or two, bang Raheem for 35 odd million.
low offer? £25m for someone who's had one and a half good seasons. he's 20 as well, i thought he was like 17. he hasn't done anything near enough to warrant a £25m fee, especially considering he's desperate to leave and has been abysmal for a while.
As much as people don't want to believe it he's a very good player, effective, proven and young and on the right side of the FA/PL apartheid.
The fee is insignificant there is a big difference spending 50 mill on a player you will have for 50 mill and 25 mill on a player you may have for 6.
I think to deny he's very good is a bit ridulous because he plays for them - for now.
Makes it all the sweeter when he twists the knife, they will have no one of any consequence.
Sterling is an excellent player with massive potential.
Hes not tho, hes not an excellent player, hes decent at times, very good others, but 90% of the time hes utterly AWOL.
He does have potential, but hes not an excellent player.
