Yeah the next man in will want to bring his own team so it makes no sense to bring a good coach in and hand him a fat contract just to prop up Brodgers for a short period and then sack him in a few months. FSG are probably still hoping that by undermining him again in public like this he finds some dignity from somewhere and walks.

Having already signed Milner, Gomez, Bogdan & Ings.
Now lets say they get all of them apart from one of Bacca or Rondon that's 8 players.
Add to that last summer Loveren, Lallana, Lambert, Balotelli, Alberto Moreno, Manquillo (I think that's everyone)
That is 14 players in 2 summers!!!!!!
Now I believe to build a good squad at tops you should sign 4 maybe 5 players. Anything more is just a rotating door policy. So keep spending RS cos if your lucky maybe 2 of them 14 will make the 1st team

Spurs buy in bulk and they struggle while improving this season.

The problem is they obviously do not trust the signings that were made last summer and are trying to rectify it by doing it exactly the same way albeit on the cheap which is a very dangerous game. They should have taken their medicine and add one or two, replace one or two and build it again.

The second problem is that they know the fans will not accept it, even if FSG are up front and explain that the building process could take a few years. The fans have a 'spoilt child' complex and they want everything now and think they have a right to it just because they are Liverpool.

why only go back 2 years? they must have bought about 100 players in about 7 years after this summer.

If they bring all those players in it will give them a squad of about 35 with the only player likely out the door being Sterling.
At that rate they're going to end up with about 7 forwards on their books unless they take a huge hit on original fees and offer some great redundancy packages.

All that money wasted just to fight it out with us and Spurs for 5th, it's like they start again every summer the number of players they buy there never seems any rhyme or reason to their spending.
 

They'll need a disciplined midfield destroyer if they're going to pack the final third with playmakers, but I doubt soft arse Rodgers will see it that way.

He'll be bursting to claim that he has the purest technicians, with the loveliest, softest feet if they bring in Kovacic or Firmino; putting them under enormous pressure to be a pair of prime Kakas from the off.

By the time he's done he'll be the undisputed face of hubris.
 
can't see them gettin kovacic. bs that imo.

sounds like there in pole position to get firmino, which will be a good bit of business considering there gettin 40mil+ for sterling it seems
