Rodgers: "they're one point ahead of us, yet they've had a great start, we've had a disaster - i guess that goes to show the standing of the two clubs"

Wow. We'll conveniently ignore that our fixtures have been MASSIVELY harder than theirs, eh?

If ever one statement encapsulated the amount of pressure a manager is under that was it.
It is only a matter of time before he gets the sack, he should try to hang onto some dignity.

Rumours in the twitterverse that Rodgers is gone win lose or draw in the Derby and a manager will be installed during the international break with Frank de Boer as the choice.

I'm genuinely excited leading into this derby. Kopites can say what they want but there isn't a neutral out there that wouldn't rate our squad higher than theirs.

They know it, we know it. Whatever happens on Sunday happens but I've got a good feeling about the next few years.

what are you on? was never a red.

also the offside was so so marginal, it's one of those decisions that usually goes against us. if it went against us i wouldn't mind, it's so tough to call it in real time.

A player is guilty of serious foul play if he uses excessive force or brutality
against an opponent when challenging for the ball when it is in play.

Another ref on another day could easily have deemed kicking Ivanovic in the leg when the ball was underneath him as being excessive. When the ball is between a players legs and you have to kick them in order to play the ball, especially with the force that Naismith used you are running the risk of an over zealous ref applying the lettler of the law.

Lucky for us Chelsea didn't make more of a big deal over it.

The likes of Sturridge obviously has a fair bit about him but his career is littered with hot streaks combined with bouts of poor form and injury. In that respect he's just a thin version of Yakubu.

Henderson? To me he's the same level of a Lee Carsley and a ladyboy wig. The idea that he's all of a sudden world class just cos 50,000 fans in Bangkok voted him onto the cover of a computer game is laughable.

I'll give you Coutinho is showing some signs of class but that's not enough to get a gang of crocks to click. Same would happen if you dropped Osman into the Hartlepool side for a League 2 match tomorrow.

James Millner? The most obvious gamble of a desperate manager wanting to replace one English name with another.

The best of the lot is old potato head. Even the most ardent Kopites can't stand him deep down. Like the rest of us they cringe when he opens his mouth. They'd swap him for Dalglish or the fat waiter in a second.

He also forgot about scraping a win against Stoke and being given the win by the officials against Bournemouth. They would have been in the relegation spots without those pieces of luck......but hey Brenda, keep believing, and see you at Burton Albion........

Unless Ancelotti and Klopp have turned them down, that would be an astonishing appointment.

Everton and Juventus FC footballing brothers for life. Not everyone in Liverpool has forgotten about you and what happened that night and the stain that was placed on the city. You deserved so much better than the flippant treatment Liverpool FC both as an organisation and as fans have given you since then.
