I dont think that Liverpool supporters have ever been more smalltime than they are right now.

The reaction to a manager who, when all is said done, has won two Bundesliga titles is incredible.

It's like when Edgar Davids arrived at Barnet.

I genuinely feel embarrassed for them.

I agree mate. But what's success for them now? The money they spend they should be challenging for top 4 and winning a cup. If he succeeds with that then he will be lauded as Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly's love child. But they will never have a Suarez again, the planets will not align like they did 2 years ago and if they do finish 4th then they'll have to juggle competing in the CL with challenging for the top spots which they've never been able to do in a generation. So with that squad, best of luck to him.

You say that, but that is what could well be happening now - they have massively upgraded their manager, are only six points off the top, and of the rival top four clubs only one of them has shown any real quality this season and they have just lost their only decent striker for what might be ages.
