Its basically a we're not very good so we will make the other team work harder,I watched it today and it was awful poor Studger
will be in a wheelchair by the time hes mid 20s
Terrible spectacle. It's early days for him, but I have an idea he'll produce a grafting side and not much else.

Truth of the matter is there isnt much else he can produce, its a squad lacking any real flair and I cant see any more spending sprees
before he has a cull of the current lot which is going to provunster etc, going to be very difficult to move players on

I like (or liked) Klopp as a character, but his success in the Bundesliga was down to that league only ever having one other club challenging the obscene dominance of Bayern (before BVB the likes of Wolfsburg, Stuttgart, Leverkusen et al would alternate then fall away). In Klopp's final season his own Dortmund fell away just like the other pretenders did.

Now in the Prem even tho' Man U have dominated in the Ferg years we've a situation where 3 other clubs along with Utd can realistically win the title: Man C, Chelsea & Arsenal. And not just as a one-off, but regularly challenging every season. Asking a Klopp team to break those 4 is asking him to break 4 Bayerns. Far-fetched to say the least. The best that can be hoped for would be a top 4 finish within 3 years. As we know now (and knew then) that season RS finished 2nd was mostly due to Suarez and partly due to Sturridge, Sterling & Gerrard. They've all gone bar the crocked one.

Saying that, these lot made a deal with the devil half-a-century ago and nothing would surprise me. But objectively I can't see Klopp inspiring much more than the odd scraped 4th place.
He also at Mainz and Dortmund started from the basis of low expectation. That allows time to patiently build a team of runners and willing workers sprinkled (when you can unearth them) with some quicksilver players. That's a fundamentally different situation to the one he faces at Liverpool.

aye...and class like Götze, Lewandowski and Reus are a bit of a one-off (just like having Suarez was for them). Current RS squad looks average and as Jaycee says he won't be allowed the same spending sprees until either there's a cull or Champs League qualification. It might become a bit of a dead-end for him as a cull won't bring anywhere near the fees that were initially paid.

It's actually quite funny. All the pressure is on him to win the league either this season or next. He keeps trying to tell them that he needs time to carry out his philosophy. But the delusional lot want results now- almost as if to say f*** your plans we want the league. Don't be surprised if he's gone by the start of the 2017-18 season.

Aaaaaaaaaand they're off again

A full-throttle start, writes McNulty. Here I was thinking they had been lucky to draw 0-0 at Spurs.

Good to see what the neutrals think in the comments section as well, everyone's second team my arse.

BT sport were peddling the same guff, "full throttle", "intense" etc, they ran out of steam after 25 minutes, have no striker and had Kane been sharper in front of goal would have deservedly lost. The media fap-fest is music to their deluded kopite ears, settign them up for an even bigger fall when he leaves to take a Bundeliga job.
