David Gill has been formally made a Vice-Chairman of The Football Association following a meeting of The FA Council.
The 55-year-old was put forward by the Professional Game Board to replace Sir Dave Richards in the role.
The recommendation was endorsed by The FA Board and then approved by the Council’s professional game representatives.
In accepting the Vice-Chairman position, Gill said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed Vice-Chairman of The Football Association.
"The health and success of The Football Association is vital to the future of the game in England and I hope to justify the Board’s faith in me by helping to shape discussions and actions to deliver that.â€
Gill, who has served on The FA Board for six years, will join Roger Burden, who represents the National Game, as one of two FA Vice-Chairmen.
The Manchester United Chief Executive has also been put forward as The FA candidate for the UEFA Executive Committee when elections take place at the UEFA Congress in London next May.
The "ITZ A CONSPIRICEEEEEEEE" lot are oging to love this..

TBF though, surely that's a conflict of interest, just like Gartside at Bolton
Can't even pretend I'm surprised.
At least try to make it less obvious.
Sickening, absolutely sickening.
How is this allowed?!
No more away games for Man U after their CL games then?
Grotesque. And not one journo interested in properly investigating it. I hope this country never hosts another major tournament, the FA just arent worthy.
you seriously couldn't make this **** up
Why kick a ball when you know the result is predetermined? Doesn't make sense.
Does this mean we'll see a reduction in the Sheffield Wednesday bias at UEFA now?
Liverpool, along with 19 other teams play 38 games a season. Throughout each season, we play 36 games that are in no way connected to Man Utd. If we get more points in those 36 games than Man Utd, and share 6 points in our head to head, we would finish above them. Regardless of who is on the FA board. Fact is, we don't get enough points.
Manchester United could win fifty titles, but they will always be the Rolling Stones of football. Good, just not quite that band from Liverpool.
Proud of our history, but hungry for more.
Did anyone see the real Premier League table last year?
It was a website with a panel of 5 people just normal football fans, they reviewed every dubious decision after the weeks football and edited the table to be how it would if they were rectified. Man Utd won by 6 points.
Would be curious to find out who they supported.
Where did we end up?
we ended up a place higher but about 8 points better off.
They're not all thick.
