lol at them crying about only getting 10,000 tickets for the final. They've treated the competition with nothing but contempt for years but now there's a sniff of a trophy and sneaking in through the back door to the Champions League they are outraged at UEFA.

God I hope Sevilla tear them apart. But lets be honest, we know hows its going to go don't we. Bore their way to a draw in normal time and extra time then edge a penalty shoot out. God I hate them so much.

Whilst that is indeed true, or will be, it is/was a moronic choice of a stadium for a European final.

I have no idea when failed CL clubs dropped into it, nor what support some EL clubs get, but the final could have had United, Dortmund, Liverpool god knows who else in it. Oxford took 40000 to Wembley for the paint cup thing.

Just imagine a United Liverpool final in a 34000 seater.

Stupid idea.
 
I cannot believe the bitterness and spite expressed here over Liverpool's destruction of Villareal. As for the final to be at Basle that was fixed months ago before anyone knew who would be in the final so get over it.

I am not going to be consumed by hatred or spite but will say congratulations to Liverpool FC on reaching the final and good luck. This does not mean I support Liverpool FC but support the City of Liverpool and such a thing can only be good for the City of my birth. I have no idea how many or who of the people who post on GOT are Liverpudlians like myself but if they were I am sure they would understand what it is to be proud of one;s birth place. To see the spite and hatred shown on here sickens me no end.

The trouble is nobody in Europe travels like English clubs (look at Lille away for example) so whilst United, Liverpool whoever was in this final their fans would've kicked off, there is already talk on sky sports news of Seville not taking their full allocation, so that's proof. Can you imagine us getting to a European final, Liverpool would be empty ffs! UEFA can't hedge their bets on an English side getting to the final 2 years before when they pick the stadium.

That said, this is a bit weird, a Swiss colleague of mine says Basel is basically their equivalent of Coventry, devoid of any hope.
