ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They are getting deals done quickly, especially this week.

I think their spending this summer is around 70 million pounds, not sure what price they bought Mane for, 34 or 36 million????

Their team looks like it has alot of goals in it if and only if Wijlnaldum is played in a CM role that he plays for Holland and formerly PSV and Klopp goes to his Dortmund 4231 formation, quite a goal threat if they lineup like that.

Sturridge or Origi

Coutinho Firmino Mane

Wijlnaldum Can

6 players minus Can who all got into double figures last season in the Premier League.
You seem to know a lot about the RS, anyone would think you're one of them.

Here's one aspect of our mutant offspring that never ceases to mystify me - has done for years.

Y'know...I'm certainly not a regular listener - given the amount of mindless drivel spouted by the presenters and the plastic whopper "supporters" who ring in - but could not fail to notice the recent resignation of annoying little biff Colin Murray from Talksport.

Fair play he stated his reasons and the fact that he felt he couldn't continue due the impending Murdoch takeover. I mean he's still a RS flute but he at least has some morals it appears. Now the former RS player David Thompson, (nope, I don't recall him either) has bailed from "Talkshat" as well.

Here's where the symptomatic Kopite blindness and the stupidity of their selective morals come into play:

Jamie Carragher has never been pilloried by "de mighty reds" and their media arm for accepting Sky/Murdoch/News International Blood money.

Indeed he is still idolised.

Same deal for the following who now fall under the Sky/Murdoch/News International umbrella:

Jamie Redknapp
Mick Quinn
Graeme Souness
Phil Thompson
Neil Mellor
Danny Murphy

And these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head - Never bought Sky (and never shall) so if there are other notable names feel free to add them.

Now when are these individuals going to quit? Particularly in the light of the damning results of the Hillsborough Inquiry? Where is the collective shame and guilt? When have any of the above made comment about their employers and perhaps been concerned about the ethics of their (ultimate) boss?

Pull up any RS about this and they'll try to come up with some shat like "Everyone has to make a living..." then they tend to go all weird and defensive.

Hypocritical sheep....paying their Sky subscriptions yet not buying any of Murdoch's papers...

Discuss.

Should just swerve the echo and do a internal media booklet, basically month by month of news and gossip. The echo is a Liverpool fans Manchester based paper.

Plus I would much rather sit on here talking/debating with other fans than read some of the crap the red rag publishes.

Agree. I flick through the back pages on the newsstand. No way am I buying that redshight rag.

Spent over 60m quid on two attacking mids, well that's coutinho getting sold.
From the few 'sensible' Reds I know, Coutinho is often perceived as a luxury player in the sense he can be fabulous but is often ineffective.

Klopp wants people who work, press and get involved; a player who can show brilliance but mainly strolls around doesn't fit his mould.

Someone will spend between £30m-40m for him and I'm sure they'll be content with that, however I think a fair few will laugh at them.

Oh god anyone with eyes can see that Coutinho doesn't fit the Klopp style, funny thing about it though is how every single Koppite these days is an utter expert on the way Dortmund played under him, bet ya most had seen 1-2 game sat most of them before he signed as manager :)

thing is though mate they may sell him - but they have bought an exact clone but ten times more inconsistant in the dutch lad, they think Coutinho is inconsistant just wait till they watch that lad for a season :)

Notice Betfair have put something up about how Liberpewl are really underrated this year and a good price to finish top 4/win the league. I wonder if the penny has finally dropped and the kopites are not funding the bookies summer holidays for next year yet so they're trying to reel them in.

9/1 isn't much value now is it?
