ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

We need to make whatever replaces Goodison stay as a fitting tribute and memory of a fine, storied and beloved footie ground, the name of Goodison Park must live on !!!

Once the ground move is confirmed it will be a great topic of discussion I'm sure. There won't be a blue who doesn't want to see a positive and favourable legacy in keeping with our contribution to the local community over the last 123 years.

I can't believe that the club is dependent upon the sale proceeds of GP counting towards the new stadium development so hopefully large-scale housing estates, supermarkets and god forbid a car park for matchdays at Anfield will not be on the agenda.

Haaaaahahahahaha the typeface, I'll add that to my excuse list.

It's mad, I'm not overly fond of these groups that are getting the sun banned from every shop in the city through putting pressure on shopkeepers ( a different discussion, really) but I'd never even look at the rag let alone buy it. I know Scousers (not through choice, through work) who still buy it daily who have given me all the excuses, 'it's not for me' etc but ffs, the typeface is the best one yet.
If they were honest and said they bought it so they could fap to page 3 on their lunch break I could understand if not condone.

Not obsessed at all....

I like their little information banners.
The one explaining how to lob masonry about, in the process getting the nation banned from competing, then shying away from the blame is another witty one.

They never, ever admit to nor apologise for anything, they are shameful.

Shameful And Shameless

There are a number of ideas knocking about already which would include EiTC, local community leaders and other interested parties. The community value of Goodison's land is probably much greater than the development value, so I'm hopeful the legacy of the greatest club ground in the country will be a positive one, not just marked by a plaque in a housing estate saying the centre circle used to be here.

honestly i'd turn it back into a park, the city is sorely lacking in green spaces

a nice park with a few artworks to remember that it was GP

If a new ground elsewhere isn't dependant on the sale of the land then leave as is and give kids the opportunity to play there where so many Legends of the game have played, Junior clubs, schools etc. a living Museum of Football.
The stands could be scaled down if they are as inefficient as is led to be believed, maybe rebuilt in a way that they were many moons ago, a kind of replica of the originals on some sides but keep the Leitch designs.

Is it just me or will everyone in that new section have to turn 45 degrees to their right to watch the game. Or are they expected to stare at the away end all game like the children of the corn?

yeah I don't get that, and also wondered that about our old main stand as it was kind of on 2 angles, it'll be a contributing factor to lumbago & stuff
