ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

if it makes sense to you you're a kopite..... it's honestly some kind of jedi mind trick they lay on each other
I can see what they are trying to do (which is convince themselves that its still their year even though they lost to Burnley) buts it's just odd.

Under their logic we should be top of the league with maximum points.

Has Max had much to say on this?

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...erpools-attendance-against-leicester-11881555

54,074 capacity and all tickets "sold" yet the attendance has now been officially confirmed as 53,075. So 1,000 of them couldn't be arsed to turn up (or missed their flights).

Looks like the Boro game is heading for a sell out so he'll have to wait for the League Cup game for his trademark figure followed by emoji. He's having a tough time of it lately.

Yeah but if Boro don't bring half their allocation he'll just post the attendance number with his laughing emoji and make out that Everton fans can't be bothered going to the game. Odd man.

Irrelevant. As we do not exist in their comparison graph it doesn't matter.......it's very simple.....

Really don't understand this concept?? Anyone care to put into laymans terms?

Each game has a "par score" of either 1 or 3.
- For away games against the teams who finished in the top 12 places last season "par" equals 1.
- For all home games and the remaining 7 away games "par" equals 3.

If you win a par 1 game you get +2 points in the APLT. (3 points for a win - 1 point for par = 2 points)
If you draw a par 1 game you get 0 points in the APLT. (1 point for draw - 1 point for par = 1 point)
If you lose a par 1 game you get -1 points in the APLT. ""
If you win a par 3 game you get 0 points in the APLT. ""
If you draw a par 3 game you get -2 points in the APLT. ""
If you lose a par 3 game you get -3 points in the APLT. ""

By "playing to par" you will stay on 0 points in the APLT. Over the course of a full season this is the same as getting 90 points in the real table (19 home wins * 3 points + 7 away wins * 3 points + 12 away draws * 1 point).

The idea is that by applying a "par score" for each game you take into account the difficulty of the fixtures (based on where each team placed the previous season), something which the actual table doesn't. This means that e.g. teamA might be a few points behind teamB in the real table after XX amount of games, but because of a much easier set of fixtures remaining teamA is still favorite to finish above teamB in the end."

Have to laugh, Liverpool fans really do care about us evertonian opinions a lot.

Went on their forum for the first time in years and I'm crying, they really are deluded

it matters not how many games we win we just cant overtake those pesky reds on the APLT, sometimes I wonder if its biased

So it looks like the bottom 3 have a excellent chance of making the top 4 with their projected points haul.

Sound

Truly sad but I've looked at the APLT for the first time and come across a fundemantal (emphasis on mental) error.
Look at our 1st match, we're -2, so prediction was that we beat Spurs. But Spurs are 0, so prediction was a draw! So we are either 2 points light or Spurs are 1 point light.
I am very lonely, sad and have far too much time on my hands.
You really need to study the rules. That game was a par 3 for us since we were at home. Every home game is a par 3.
It was a par 1 game for Spurs since they were away to a team that finished in the top 12 last season.
C'mon what could be simpler?

another hole in the theory is that it takes 90 points to win the league, the last time a team got 90 points was in 2008/2009 season

is it just me or with city getting pep, united getting ibra and pogba, chelsea starting well, we have started well, spurs playing well etc

that the season is all about liverpool so far? Just seems like they get pulled into any discussion despite being off the pace so far.

They are the entertainers, didn't you know? To be fair, I think Guardiola and Mourinho have had more discussion than the RS.
