They have played well so far. Lallana or however you spell it looks a different player.
I always thought he was a good player. No pace, but links up pla very well and comes up with breakthrough goals. Comfortably the best player at S'ton and the best they plundered from there.

Are you mad David?

How many trophies have they won since we last did?

We havent done well since 95.
I'm talking about them securing a CL spot again. I think that puts a lot of pressure on us in the sense that they are a team definitely that we won't overtake this season and we can kiss goodbye to doing so to Spurs, Arsenal, Utd, City and probably Chelsea once Conte finds his feet.

A poor Liverpool has historically given us a Euro spot or two in the recent past.

Ha I see Super Mario has got, 4 goals in two games in France.

Oh Norway.

Benteke to get a hatrick at the weekend!

LOOK INTO MY EYES... YOU ARE STARTING TO FEEL SLEEPY.

We never rang into Radio Merseyside and said 'dis guy's absolutely brilliant, and I think we'll win the league now'

Balotelli and Benteke never played for Liverpool. They did not squander nearly £45,000,000 on these 2 players.

321, you'r now wide awake and can't remember anything.

City and Arsenal are the only teams who havent under-performed, in recent years Liverpool, Chelsea, United have all had pretty poor spells, Spurs have probably moved ahead of us. We arent fighting for a CL place currently, its unrealistic to jump from 2 11th place finishes to top 4, its gonna take time.

Sadly there's no probably about it, they're light years ahead, and with a very young squad and manager too.

You better break that gently to some on that Koeman thread.

I know it's early days, but I can see this lot finishing top four with a few points to spare this season. They look very disciplined and Klopp has a season behind him now to know how this league rolls out.

That's a lot of pressure for us to deal with again. The last time it happened we were doing well ourselves so it was less keenly felt.

Thats true. They look a good side this season. For the first time in about 5 years they have had a manager and a "committee" working in sync and not sporadically panic bought players who didn't fit what he was looking for. Wijnaldum & Mane fit this very well and when added to the other lads they have they look quite dangerous.

Unfortunately for them they will still be a long way behind City who will blitz the league. I suspect Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs will then be quite close with possibly United if Mourinho avoids a complete meltdown and Pogba settling in.

They will finish somewhere between 2nd to 5th. As usual there is a usual delusion from them but they will be fine. We should be thankful for City being so good and hope they blow themselves up.To understand the mentality of LFC is to try and understand the mentality of a heroin addict. They constantly require a greater fix. Eventually it can end up destroying a good thing, which in many ways is what happened to Houllier/Benitez/Rodgers. All of them improved them gradually but when the pace if improvement couldn't keep pace the mob turned and through them into instability. The ambitions are so farcically high under Klopp if they have a bad spell I can see problems emerging.

Until FSG decide to sell up to an oligarch who can put a couple of billion into the squad this is as good as it's going to get for Liverpool.

They'll be miles off City as you say, but unfortunately I think they're about the only team they're off the pace of.

It's early days yet and they could fall away, but I don't think so.

David, heres the link to the twitter that RAWK think is you.

He makes you almost seem sane.

They do seem to be playing well but they played arsenal deserves and the Chelsea victory is looking less impressive with every passing week. Drew with Spurs, lost to burnley and aided by a mad sending off against an already depleted hull.

Good first XI but a few injuries away from playing the likes of Lucas, origi, Moreno, klavan etc

Klopp does seem to have got lallana playing again but I can see united beating them easily in a few weeks.

say it quietly but we aren't a better team than most of the ones mentioned. As much as i think we have a good first 11, we have a bang average 18 as proven this past week. Transfer recruitment in january is a must if we want to be able to compete, 3-4 squad members need replacing to even have any sort of flexibility away from the same 11 every single week.

FFS, how can they think what that feller says about Liverpool is remotely like what I say about them? He just harangues them.

This might be a conceit on my part, but I like to think that I provide RAWK with an education: a scientific explanation why they are untermensch and will always remain inferior despite the trophies they've won.

It's like missionary work.

t took just two injuries (one before the Norwich game and one from midweek training) to weaken this team to an extent that we were there for the taking by a Championship team and a bang average PL team. The squad beyond the first 15 or so is pretty ropey.

Personally think it comes down to just very poor back up in positions. A couple of weeks ago it all seemed rosy and all smiles and rainbows. But when you actually call upon the squad, cleverley does not fit the system, kone/valencia will struggle to score 10 between them, del isn't as good as we thought he would turn out, ross is somewhat a liability at times, through lazy tracking and selfish play around the box.

just a few examples but we have no spark, no-one to stake a claim in the team because what our first 11 is, that is it. there isn't a single player in that squad otherwise that can even force their way past what is already there.
