ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I can see them winning a pot, but not the Holy Grail.

They'll hit a sticky patch at some point, hopefully it'll be at the point when they're frothing at the mouth at the prospect of winning the league again, and the entire place goes into meltdown. Klopp always looks on the cusp of morphing into a deranged lunatic.

I don't think I could handle the months of cringe and build-up again though, it'd be 10x worse now because of Klopp. I'd say he's already a deranged lunatic, his behaviour unnerves me for sure.

I like his thinking. I have shares in Apple. It's nice to know that's a debt they owe me.

Well you absolute donut if you never got a dividend (or they didnt appreciate in value) you'd presumably sell? So apple do need to reward your investment or you'd just put it in a bank.

This really isn't that complex lol.

Personally think it comes down to just very poor back up in positions. A couple of weeks ago it all seemed rosy and all smiles and rainbows. But when you actually call upon the squad, cleverley does not fit the system, kone/valencia will struggle to score 10 between them, del isn't as good as we thought he would turn out, ross is somewhat a liability at times, through lazy tracking and selfish play around the box.

just a few examples but we have no spark, no-one to stake a claim in the team because what our first 11 is, that is it. there isn't a single player in that squad otherwise that can even force their way past what is already there.

Holgate, Davies, Lewin (cant be worse than Kone/Valencia) should all be getting some game time.

Personally, I cant see FSG selling.

If I'm not wrong, they have an investment vehicle which owns Liverpool and The Red Sox as well as other entities I imagine. Even ignoring any revenue streams generated by either team, the prestige of their vehicle owning two such clubs is a fantastic marketing tool to entice new investors.

Then, for the revenue streams I would imagine both clubs can run at a profit with the right management in place.

As for the Chinese, why accept a minority stake offer from them? Makes no sense as they arent under any pressure and wouldnt be selling from a position of strength.

None of those will provide anything more than what we already have. If anything it will be harder for young players to be able to perform on demand on the premier league in games that aren't easy like Saturday

And yet Holgate was motm in the game prior to being dropped.

There could be lots of speculation but essentially money may be the answer. If someone makes them an offer they can't refuse (which would have to be around the billion pound mark). I am sceptical someone will want to do that, pay off 200 million (and growing) debt and be left with a poor stadium in a terrible area for growth. In all likelyhood they would have to either build a new stadium or go cap in hand to us to be a tenant of any project we may have on the water. I'm not convinced people will fund that much. Compare that to say buying a club with a similar pedigree like Ac Milan for half the money and with half the investment could have a side dominating Italy.

The are businessmen and if the right offer came in then I'm sure they'd look at it. However you are right, owning a franchise in the Premier League means the value will only go 1 way. Likewise a side that will likely be involved in any break away group for a super league. The equity will grow massively so I would be surprised.

The Chinese option makes sense because it would allow funds to come into the club and expertise in other areas to market them. If they could get a partner in, who would invest x and increase the business value by y and y is greater than x they will probably look at that. Chinese owners seem quite happy to sit in the background in terms of investment and look to be trying to diversify portfolios and European sports teams look a good bet, again especially with mooted changes to the champions league.

They'll win the league this season, I can honestly see the stuffy gits doing it. I had them or Chelsea down as my pre-season favourites, both benefitting from no Eurooean distractions. Chelsea's season has already stuttered and you wonder whether Conte will need another 12 months or more to really make his mark there and upturn the squad.

Klopp is someone I really admire, it pains me to say. They've once again come out of a mess smelling of roses by landing him. He's a quality manager and a real standard bearer for a club to rally behind. I genuinely see only them and City for the League, and think they'd pip them of it comes down to the wire and the big games (especially they've no Slippy nowadays to balls things right up, sadly).

Against Sunderland?

You mean the team who haven't won yet?

Holgate is good I will agree on that. But he wouldn't be a factor to us winning a game like on Saturday
Doesn't matter who you're against, getting MOTM means somebody thought he was better than the other 10 Everton players on the pitch
