All fans have oddballs including our own. But this stuff goes beyond. Speechless.

i got two pages in before accepting i wasn't going to come across an actual sensible post that said how shameful of a gesture it was. What on earth were all the FREE SUAREZ shouts about? He wasn't in jail ffs.

A racist! a bloody racist and they were supporting him in their thousands saying he was innocent, just disgusting and one of the worst moments in english football for me. I found the whole episode disgusting tbh.

I said it at the time too, they're such loons that if it was a player like mignolet (a player they constantly scapegoat), they would have shunned him out of the club and then blagged how great of a club they are kicking out a racist and how they should be given a fair play trophy etc. But because it was their only good player they all stuck by him. I have no clue what was going through the black liverpool player's heads actually engaging in it. I remember glenn johnson looking a bit sheepish about it at the time, and he was placed in a horrid situation. If he refused that club would have harassed him out as well.

They are about as thick-skinned as Donald Trump when it comes to criticism, or implied criticism. Lots of delusion going on at The Pit. Only thing is Sky/BT etc etc does all the Fake News in their favour. Won't hear any issues with the media down Anfield way. They are the media.

It was caused by the club themselves supporting a racist. The cult automatically followed without them having any clear thoughts of their own. This then went beyond the old 'every club has one or two racists' when the kop sang Suarez's name at a young black lad from a Division one side. Everyone, outside of the media, can see they are a horrific club who people enjoy seeing every bit of pain being inflicted on them.

christ, forgot about that, yes, the oldham lad?

It is a massive tragedy that they have such a stronghold in the media, they should be hounded out from all angles. Anyone who knows anything about football hates them, sadly you have a massive amount of people in britain who never ever watch a game and go and buy a liverpool coat in the local charity shop claiming how great they are, as well as their popular perception in the media, which gives them an undeserved good name.

Not that I'm trying to open cans of worms here, but that unreal Rawk post reminded me. Where did it come from that what Suarez said was "Negrito"?

The FA report and testimony from Evra and Suarez himself said that the word used was "Negro" - Evra testified that he said it 5 times, The Rat admitted to saying it once.

The "Negrito" thing came about dead quick after the incident and it was explained by the Red side as a cultural thing, so not that bad.

But you only have to read the Fa report to see what was actually said is much worse, and less open to to a friendly interpretation.

Reeked of RS information management at the time, and even now still gets quoted as being what the Rat said.

I had a shocking conversation with a RS colleague the day after he got the ban, who was defending the Rat in some of the worst racism I've ever heard in person. Very unsavoury.

RS 'alternative reality' quiz question No;234.

Rafael and his family love Liverpool so much, that they live in a 2 bed-roomed terraced house in Breck Rd. ( 'still in the city yeaknow like')

or......................

Rafael and his family live in a £10 million pound mansion in Caldy?

I did mention this at the time but to riterate.
My wife is Argentinian as are a lot of friends and aquaintances. I also know a fair few Uruguayans. Culturally, the 2 countries are virtually identiical. From the love of Barbecued meat and Dulce de leche to the speech patterns and colloquial expressions they use.
The expressions 'negro' or 'negrito' (no real difference tbf) are frequently used by people of both countries. And the truth is, it is usually used as an affectionate term. However, always with dark haired and/or skinned whites.
Luis Suarez would almost certainly be referred to as 'negro'/'negrito' on the streets of Buenos Aires or Montevideo and by current team mates like Messi and Mascherano.
In fact, I was frequently called 'negro' by my wifes friends and family when I was over in Argentina back in 1998 (before my hair turned grey).

Would not be used in an affectionate way with black people
