ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

He was better than Suarez at the same time of signing, talked about the world over, and already played a number of years in Spain.

Fernando Torres at Atletico was one of the worlds brightest talents (not intelligence given his choice of hair dyes) the production line was something like, forlan, torres, aguero, falcao and now griezman.

Fernando was already on his way to being class, at Liverpool he became world class. Then flopped at chelski.

Sorry to be picky mate but Athletico hardly have a production line of sorts in all honesty. They have an eye for a striker though. forlan, Griezzman, Falcao, were all signed by them as further along strikers. Torres not sure if he was academy, Aguero was signed but started young so was stepping into the first team following Tores leaving.

It probably does not change your point whatsoever and i am being pedantic here but they have a eye for a striker, not a production line.

Think Fagan was the only RS manager I didnt mind,Heysel left him a broken man,you could see the shame he felt over that incident

Couldn't agree with you more. Joe was a gent with no side to him....always regarded us with great respect and us him likewise. I never knew that Harry Catterick wanted him to join our coaching staff in the early 60s but he chose to stay there out of loyalty.

diego costa as well.they have had some serious strikers down through the years.

Sad to see Ronnie Moran has died. Always seemed a good guy who wasn't caught up in all the cult nonsense, despite all the decades he spend with the RS. A good, solid, old school footy guy

Agree with all you say, a decent man from a period where their was mutual respect between both Liverpool clubs.

Class and dignity fc

The outcome mate...
