The fact that you seem to enjoy talking about hanging folk. You'd actually hang people that live in your city? You seem to have alot of hate in your life for someone called mellowblue. Were you molested by a Liverpool fan?
Mate come on,didn't you sort this out before.

Ok don't worry , in the spirit of extending the hand of friendship. Just like the old days when we move on to better ourselves the RS can move into our old stadium like a cuckoo or rats if you will . How's that ?

I wonder whether our project for a new stadium, even at this early stage, may rekindle their interest in rebuilding and expanding the Anfield Road.

There'll certainly be increased cries from within their cult for their attendance to continue to exceed our own; they'd hate being 'smaller'.

So if we do look at 55k plus as many have mentioned I'd be surprised if there was a clamour to do it even if it meant compromise with the fans.

From what I know, the Anfield Road redevelopment was shelved because the fans with their much heralded campaign against ticket rises...

...meant that the club were unwilling to fund it; basically wanting the fans to pay. The other aspect was more hospitality which was again rebuffed.

Therefore, I'll be surprised if there isn't some compromises made by their fans to help fund any further development.

Yeah that'll be back in the table now, they won't care about ticket prices when they realise how far behind they're falling

Won't happen mate, the whole Fenway's / rs business model was based on the success at Boston...which was going to result in 77quid tickets at FC Big Stand. That got shot down, so phase II got binned.

'If' Fenway get a vibe via an 'outcry' they will have to either change the way they fund it or get the selfie stick mob to wear 77 pound or even higher, due to the time gap and the fact that they haven't been banking the difference...25(?) quid per spectator per game X the number of games = 25-30m per season 'shortfall'...up to when they decide to play catch up... if they ever do...which they won't.

That was my point. The club are unwilling to fund the development as it's not part of their model so will we see their fans change their stance?

I'd be inclined to think that their (the fans) views and morals will soon change and pay the extra £ if they see their status threatened.

I was actually referring to a line in a song chanted by our very own Street End.......Oh we hate Bill Shankly and we hate St John...but most of all we hate Big Ron.....and we'll hang the kopites one by one....from the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey....obviously you've never heard this sung...hope this helps:cool:;)

Ha that article by that Kopite Ian Doyle yesterday claiming that Liverpool fans are not overly bothered about our new stadium.Ha what a desperate attempt by the Red Echo to portray that lot in a good light yet again.

Just found that article on the red echo (I won't link it). He suggests that us getting the stadium progressed has been accelerated by the big stand. Ha ha.

Absolutely deluded to think anyone gives a flying F about their stand.

Let's just cut to the chase here.. there is no division of loyalty at play here. We're not talking River Island vs Next. Our fans/customers are not their fans/customers. So building a new stadium is not driven by anything our (non-business) rival does. We do it to enhance our club and attract more people (new fans perhaps but not Liverpool ones) into a better stadium, more sponsorship and better players and so on. So all we're doing is trying to produce a sound business case FOR OURSELVES. I wouldn't expect the average (RS) dipstick to understand that and that clearly includes Ian Doyle.

Think that's about right. Of all the RS bitterness I've heard, the "we're only doing it as a response to their big stand" is possibly the stupidest one of all.

Like we haven't been trying to sort a new stadium for 20 years.
