ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They seem to be buying players for nothing, or 3 or 4 million. I think they'll buy more Germans over the summer, as they think Klopp can spot talent in Germany, and obviously they are way cheaper than young English talent. But not sure if that will work, how many German players have succeeded over here?

I don't think its just about succeeding over here, I think Dortmund are a massive pull in Germany, most german kids probably want a move to Dortmund or munich. Look at Dahoud from Borrussia, Liverpool wanted him yet a move to Dortmund was more appealing.

For any lurking reds here, or blues getting some stick from red mates about the long run without a derby win, here are some other comparative stats for you.

1) Liverpool went from September 1899 to October 1920 without winning an Anfield Derby. This was a run that saw Everton win 9 games including a 5-0 thumping (to go alongside several 3/4/5 goal thumpings At Goodison within the same time frame). Liverpool won just 1 derby match in 8 years in this time. In this run Everton set the record of consecutive away victories, with 7 on the spin.

2) Between the years February 1927 and February 1933 Liverpool won no Derbies at Anfield.

3)Between 1937 and 1948 Liverpool win no derbies at Anfield.

4) Between September 1950 and December 1969 Liverpool win no league Goodison derbies.

5) Liverpool manager Tom Watson holds the record of biggest Derby loser with a whopping 21 defeats to Everton.

"Now thats what I call history" (or something like that which is what the knob heads sing).

Just popped over to the insane asylum aka Rawk to see their arrogance and confidence going into the game, caught a thread about the annie road end..they are all convinced there is going to be an announcement for a new stand to take capacity to 63K and the plans will announced in 3 months time, timing is amazing when we just announce our new stadium plans...They are all giddy over there about it now.

Let them dance about over that. Even if they did have a boosted capacity to 63k it wouldn't be anything to write home about when they do it with obstructed views due to their limited capacity to build a new stand.

that is the difference if it is the case. We would build a fully functional NEW stadium designed for football and designed for our needs so will be state of the art with no obstructions and designed for Evertonians in mind.

They are/will be ad hoc throwing up stands the cheapest way possible to try and expand and show ambition whilst cutting corners everywhere they can like they have done once already. As magnificent as the main stand might be to them, what is the value if fans can still have blocked views?

Deluded, they can't even fill the stadium now with the new stand.

Just can't see the Yanks spending that kind of cash when they don't fill the ground to capacity now.

No, It's highly doubtful. They will be paying off the current stand for the next few years already. They have a deadline until September to register for planning permission on the Anfield Road end. So unless it's done in the next few months they can probably wave goodbye to that little pipe dream.

I think it's more a question of money. They only sell 25,000 season tickets so they can rinse the day trippers. If they sold 40,000 season tickets they would make less cash, but they might be able to sell more tickets. The question is whether they would risk spending another £100 million on expansion, for the possibility of making money over a 20 year period. Their decision making thus far tells you they won't.

All fans see things from their own perspective, and there's always a lot of propaganda and bluff in it. I'd love Mane. I'd love their success of the trophies they've had. I'd love their current derby record. I'd have loved Gerrard and Carragher in blue. Let's be clear though, that Main Stand does not both me in the least.

They carry on like heads have fallen off because they've polished a turd of a ground, in a terrible area with a Maccano new stand. I'm utterly not bothered. I'm pleased for them even. The level of delusion with that new stand is incredulous.

The fume from the bellends over these is a joy to behold.

That's living in the past behaviour. RS wouldn't understand because they never do that. :)
