ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

How on earth are Danny Murphy and Mark Larwo still pundits on the Bbc they are the most bias pair of Divvys I've ever seen. The media love in with Liverpool has to stop soon right?

I think FSG have lost interest. The longer it goes on without making the key breakthrough the more money they pull back.

We know what will happen mate, we'll just get things going on and off the pitch to the point of the RS bellends crying in their Ma's laps, when out of the blue (no pun intended) a multi billionaire Arab will come along and buy out FSG.

I think FSG have lost interest. The longer it goes on without making the key breakthrough the more money they pull back. The fans are getting irritated as it's been seen the last 2 years that budgets have been gradually reduced. They are clinging to the hope that this summer will see a big spend. The defenders of FSG are now using that, in the way reformist politicians try to buy off the workers with the idea that in the future everything will be perfect.
I can understand your logic however I tend to disagree that that they're losing interest. Perhaps their business model is simply becoming clearer!

They've built a new stand with larger gate receipts and extra corporate income, shackled the transfer budgets and their wage expenditure.

There is also now more corporate associations than you can shake a stick at (official doughnut partner for example) bringing in extra revenue.

Also, Klopp has built them an image of playing attractive football that draws in the tourist fans while not requiring countless millions on players.

While success will bring them even further riches, right now I'm confident that FSG will now or in the future reap the rewards of the transformation.

One day they'll sell up with an attractive package of a successfully managed business for any future investor and lots of money in their pocket.

Put simply, it's not losing interest but rather their initial outlay and flash approach has passed and they've moved into a purely business approach.

Whether he finishes 4th or outside the top 4 it's still been a season that reflects poorly on Klopp in my eyes. He is supposedly one of the worlds best managers so we keep being told. He had a free swing last season on the back of Rodgers work and failed to qualify for Europe but that was partly explained supposedly by him going far in the cups. This season he has had a Europe free season, something that led to Rodgers and Conte and even Ranieri challenging for or winning the title. He lost a semi final they were favourites for, threw away the FA cup and is now in a slug out for fourth with two of the worst United and Arsenal sides for a long time.

Compare to Conte first season in will probably win the league and has gone far in the FA Cup.

Guardiola first season had Europe distractions but will still finish ahead of Liverpool probably and in contention for FA Cup.

Mourinho first season has picked up league cup and is favourite for Europa as well as still in hunt for top 4 despite having European distractions

Even Wenger is still in with a trophy chance and top 4.

Pochettino was challenging for the title in his second season.

This was Klopps big chance, nearly all the teams around him with new managers requiring squad overhauls. No Europe to distract, relatively few major injuries, and he's absolutely bottled it. What chance next season when United and City will be far stronger as they establish under managers and he will have the burdens of Europe in some form. Christ imagine if they lost Coutinho or Mane the way we lost Bolasie or Coleman, they'd be nowhere.

What is perhaps the best thing of all is that they are all so hooked on him that when he tells them 4th would be an incredible success they believe him. It really shows how far their expectations have dropped without them realising it. If he finishes outside the top 4 his two seasons work would have seen him fired at any so called top club. That lot are made up to have him though. They're starting to think like a mid table club, in fact they're starting to sound like us.

agree in essence @Saint Domingo but that is still an horrific squad he's got there. Just look at the benches he's been puttng out in the last couple of months, it's not even half as good as ours and we don't have that fantastic of a squad. All that money and what have they got to show for it. With mane out, they could still lose that 4th place spot, they really shouldn't given the advantage they have, but then again, they had a bigger advantage to win the league and bottled it.

I fully expect us to finish above them next season, if we don't we've underachieved imo, i believe we'll have a much better starting point. I can see above about deluded comments about needing 12 players, that's ironic, because i look at their squad and that's what i think they need. And that's with them qualifying for europa, never mind champions league. I think we only need half of that, and they're all first team players which will knock current first teamers out as squad players. Just hope we don't fluff it like last summer.

A lot of their squad problems are of Klopp's own making though. He's pushed out players that he didn't think were good enough: Benteke, Balotelli, Markovic, Sakho, Allen, Ibe, Skrtel. How's that for a bench?

yep, very true. They spend £38m on mane, £25m on wijnaldum and silly money in other areas when they needed to bulk out the squad.

There most recent benches. And who have they got injured? Only a couple out, a couple more have succumbed in the last week or so, but that needs a major overhaul if you're going to go into a season with europe with a manager who demands you chase after every ball for an hour and a half for 50 games a season and no winter break. They need 12, not us.

Just to nail home the point about the squad. This is their percieved best XI in a very critical game despite only having mane, lallana and henderson injured. As well as the two being rested of course.

Hopefully Aunautovic exploits the back 3 like he did uin our game against them, they get off to a bad start and those kids they are playing will struggle badly though
