ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

These have a big opportunity (again) of taking a grip of 3rd tomorrow. It wont be easy, but they've dispatched two very awkward opponents away from home last two away games and they might just do it against Watford too. I'd say this fixture would be more difficult for them at Anfield.

They'll win that. It pains me to say it, but they look good for the run in. Playing in front of the mutants and their supposed famous atmosphere quite clearly brings the players down not lifts them up (all the stupid parades to celebrate 8th place and drawing at home to West Brom) just amplified pressure. While that worked for greats like Souness, Hanson, Rush etc for the current gang of bottlers it is a major hindrance.

That being said, once they get to play away from the Cult their football abilities are better shown off. They have winnable away fixtures. Then Boro on the final day who are about the worst team in the league currently. They shouldn't be able to mess it up from here.

TBF to Klopp, he's juggled some bang average talent around all season and if he gets them Cl I'd say that's one of the better managerial performances in the PL this season. They have been very ropey since the new year but they overall probably deserve a CL spot.

I think it's nice that Stevie G proclaims the birth of his first son against the background of Everton's iconic building....

Why is he posting pictures of an Everton building.

I'd say they deserve it if they get it. If they don't get it they don't, the league table never lies and all that. (I"m certainly not of the train of thought emerging from Kopites they are in the top 3 teams irrespective of where they finish).

Of the games they have left i can only see Southampton at Home being a problem. United look shot to me, and Arsenal don't look much better. A shame really, and will put pf an impending crisis if he can get CL.

Add City to that, and it's the reason why dropping 10 of the last 18 points was very unfortunate for Everton. The wheels fell off a bit when real pressure could have been placed on top 4/5.

Unfortunately this is the story of Everton over the last 10 years though. We have got ourselves into lots of good positions, but struggle to get over the line when it matters. Playing well when it really matters is a different skill. It was why I was so impressed with Davies yesterday who grew while others around him shrunk.

He's had a good debut season. He's playing with a lot of freedom and confidence that comes with zero pressure and zero expectancy. I'd reserve judgment on him for that reason.

I like when they get in a CL place and try and link themselves with top class players before heading off to Southampton for the player if the year there
