They wanted Can out last year n now can you imagine the luv in after that goal.

I wish they'd stop singing The Fields of Athenry given their history n founder. I hate them more than I like other things. Scumbags

That's them in the CL next season. Cant see them failing to get 4th, tbh.

They're hopeless with a very good manager.

I agree they will finish 4th simply because Utd are decimated by injuries and City are too inconsistent.

But my god. They are bang average. Annoying though CL qualification for them will be I firmly believe there is no way on earth they will make a dent in Europe unless someone basically buys them a new squad. They have no depth, maybe three genuinely good players and a manager who has gotten to the verge of CL qualification more from the lack of consistent competition than his own tactical flexibility.

We should be aiming for Top 4 next season, it really isn't the unattainable goal it once was.... As you said mate, Iiverpool are bang average, and United & Arsenal are a shell of the teams they use to be...
So annoying to see that Liverpool team just handed a Champs league spot....
Spurs are showing what is possible for us to achieve, no reason anymore why that shouldn't be our realistic target...

Klopp has to put the CL on the back burner and just use next season to bed in a lot of quality players he'll now get in. CL ambitions for them have to be season after next.

True this, been a long times since Everton and Liverpool have both had top managers. Really looking forward to next season, with the backing RK is sure to get from Moshiri, we will have a good chance of both pushing Chelsea and Spurs

I know this is going to read like an incredibly bitter post, but I do think the fixtures have worked perfectly for them this season, and they still don't look very good. Early season they played Arsenal when they had no players, and Chelsea before they figured out their formation, which gave them impetus. Once Europe was on a break they showed how moderate they are. Now the games that would have been tricky earlier in the season, away to Watford,West Brom and Stoke, those teams have nothing to play for.

Lol.

If only that were true.

Their first XI is good, they have nothing after that though. Lucas as a back up says it all. The yard dog slows everything down which is very anti Klopp. Coutinho got that ligament injury and Mane went to the African nations (Lallana has also missed a few games) and without them they struggled to break down teams that packed the defence. They are weak defensively but their first choice front six got them top at Christmas.

Chelsea are the only team at the top with quality squad depth, plus they are good at both ends of the field (as are Spurs, but they just lack that extra depth Chelsea have).

The 04/05 team was utter rubbish (indeed it finished behind Moyes' Everton). Didn't stop them winning it. They are the absolute devils team. Look how far Leicester got until they played someone decent. Just hope for a very tough group that at best they finish second in so that the UEFA diktat of all European ties taking place with the second leg at Anfield can't come into play.
