Gerry is massively giddy because they've won the 4th place trophy. This comes on top of their top in October trophy, their mini league trophy and their ex manager winning promotion trophy.

They have had a MASSIVE,MASSIVE season, almost as massive as their massive stand so let's just let it slide. I know it's just pure cringe (especially as they used to ridicule Arsenal fans for celebrating getting 4th) but they really havent won much recently depsite spending nearly a billion pounds so let them have their fun I say.

We can only hope that United win the Europa and that UEFA pull the same stunt we were subject to that horrid evening in Villarreal with an obvious ploy to not let 5 teams in the Champions League proper. There is an old, bald, Italian referee checking his emails constantly I imagine.

Are you suggesting UEFA actually fixed that draw in 2005 and it was actually nothing to do with both teams European coefficient ranking like the RS have always claimed?

The Balls were not fixed, but no matter who we played Collina would've done us over. Moyes said as much in an interview with Andy Gray years later, and at that point it's not like they had anything to gain from throwing wild accusations about.

Don't forget their ex manager winning the SPL trophy.

What is it now with the RS? One league cup in 11 years. That's a terrible return when you stop to think how much they've spent. Wasn't that league cup win against a Championship side on penalties? Shocking. The two trophies before that were won on penalties as well IIRC.

I don't know about you but it always feels a bit hollow when a team wins on penalties. So you have to get back nearly two decades before they won a trophy the proper way.

It's embarrassing. No wonder they've gotten so giddy over scraping the top 4 trophy, eh? ;)
