ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They are starting to get a bit unbearable already. social media stuff is embarrassing like they have just won something, including a introducing Jurgen klopp because they got 4th with kids on the bench and 'spent nothing'

They've been ridiculously fortunate in the last month. Bar saved them in the last minute vs Watford, post saved them twice vs West Ham, pen and red card not given yesterday, and sitters missed by Stoke and West Brom. That's five games won when it could easily have been four draws and a defeat. They can talk about Mane and their captain being missing but all teams have injuries so it's the same for everyone.

Are you suggesting UEFA actually fixed that draw in 2005 and it was actually nothing to do with both teams European coefficient ranking like the RS have always claimed?
The draw wasnt fixed as the coefficient dictates who to play. With next to no European football we had a poor ranking so got a tough team. There is no doubt however that UEFA did not want us playing in the Champions League with them fuming with the English FA's decision in Spring in putting 4th place forward for the CL ahead of the holders of the CL itself. It was UEFA's fault for leaving this loophole which we were the only team to ever benefit from. The holders have always played in the CL and they set the rule in stone the following season to ensure an FA type decision didn't happen again, while Collina was conveniently picked for one last job. UEFA didn't look on us as being robbed in that game as they didn't believe we should have been playing in it in the first place.

Least the days of them being a pot 1 side are over. From pot 3 unless they get an extremely lucky draw they'll have a challenge getting out of the group and definitely difficulty topping it which would mean a knock out tie v a group winner with the second leg away. Hopefully it's a short lived trip for them.

Hat's off to Klopp for getting that bag of manure over the line. He really has plaited sawdust there. He's on £7M and Mourinho is on £15M and Wenger on £8.5M. He's outperformed all but Conte and Pochettino for me.

Coutinho and Lallana aside I wouldn't take too many more from that squad if I had the choice.

A Merseyside XI right now would have about 7 of the 10 outfield players from Everton.

So you are saying we have better players but a worse manager

Rubbish. Our squad is utter tripe. Coleman would get in but is injured, Lukaku would get in, maybe Schneiderlin, that's it. Our keepers are rubbish, CBs are old and slow their worst two midfielders walked all over our so called best ones. We haven't got any attackers who can touch Mane Coutinho Firmino Sturridge (when fit).

They won the fair play league. Of course they did, when the refs never punish you for anything that's what happens. I can think of three red card incidents off the top of my head yet they've not received one this season.

Going to be interesting next season, all the top seven in Europe. No way would they have achieved 4th place if they had been in Europe this season.
