ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

i'l take @catcherintherye's view on this as he watches a lot of youth footy and says he's struggled since young boys have caught up with him in regards of physicality. I often played against people who were a lot larger at youth level, they can just out-muscle you and beat you in the air and you can't do anything about it. Doesn't mean they're talented though and one day it will always catch up with them. Like has been said, if he was any good chelsea would be at least putting in an effort to keep him, they put a lot of effort into keeping players who they have no intention of playing first team football.

You sum it up perfectly. It's a Brendan Rodgers type signing. He's poor and miles behind DCL (and I've said that before he
Joined them).

That being said it's a smart move as they will make a profit on him which I suspect is the motivator. My guess is he plays 15 games over the next two years scores a couple of goals and Bournemouth by him for 10 million. See Danny Ings.

i haven't been worried about a signing they've made since ... well, honestly can't remember. Mane's a good player, but i wasn't worried about him ala when they bought someone of say torres' ilk. Apparently they want clichy as well, i mean this is the kind of stuff we did under moyes.

They'll make a profit on anyone because stupid teams like west ham and bournemouth obviously don't watch their players before paying absurd amounts. How they broke even on benteke is beyond me, ah well. I don't see this new kid playing an awful lot for the next few years outside of league cup tbh, such a shame they didn't land reus instead like they thought they would.

Van Wolfswinkel and Jozy Altidore both have better records in Dutch football than Solanke, and have a worse Premier League record than DCL. Solanke may develop into a good player, but there's nothing to suggest he's be good backup to Lukaku.
ah Jozy what could have been

To be fair, they close it out of respect for certain things, such as our support of the H'boro campaign and if somebody dies, it does get renamed from time to time, but their current thread was started in 2014, as much as we love to hate them, they are quite respectful on the main, I feel that should be noted.
Fair enough, can't say I'd noticed, but I was countering Gerry...'s implication that we post more anti Red stuff
here than they do at rawk about us.

Whatever happened to Van Wolfswinkel?

I remember he scored against us on his debut and that was as good as it got for him in England.

I don't know what the County Road Cutters and racist Everton fans have to do with a bunch of murdering scumbag Liverpool fans.English teams were banned from Europe because 39 Juventus supporters were murdered by Liverpool supporters.Missile throwing Juventus fans and Roma fans with knives. You people are shameless. What happened happened end of story.39 people were killed and it was all shamelessly brushed under the carpet.

The last time I recall Heysel being raised in depth again in this thread, I posted then about Peter Hooton...now the media go-to commentator on practically everything connected with the city...regarding his involvement in the 'peace visits' that the council were hosting. Even then they dragged Evertonians into being part of it. The Echo "anniversary" article linked below throws up a telling quote from him in spite of everything else....

"As a Liverpool fan, I don't feel any culpability whatsoever"

The whole "Everton fans as part of the peace delegation" is taking the piss. Why were we included?

LFC and their disgusting continuous revisionist view of their disgraceful past.

It's like a Japanese schoolbook on WW2....

Kopite logic:

Part 1 - Everton are only 7th because of the world class Lukaku, a player supreme, remove him from the squad and they will plummet into the relegation zone - he really is that good. More important to them than suarez was to us, what Zlatan is to United, what Benteke was to Villa. His sale will herald the darkest age the blueshite have ever known.

Part 2 - They'll be lucky to get £40m as hes not that good.

A bit like that soldier who didn't surrender for 30 years, instead he hid in the hills of the Philippines and killed the odd local.. as you do.. anyway no surrender to the truth as they might say.

They are going to look pretty stupid when we get considerably more than the greatest player to ever kick a ball went for.
